EVE Online takes skill and patience to play, but unlike other MMOs it doesn't rule your life, the bigger your corp and the more organised it is, you can all generate ISK for each other in your own time. Thus everyone ends up being on all the time but at different times. The biggest learning curves in EVE from my experience is piloting based on Gravity Wells and points in 3D space, that and the politics, know who you can screw with and those you should not screw with.

Well I'm only 15 and I play. It's just that the large majority of people our age either:

A) have no patience

B) are immature children

Okay I'm not that young anymore but I do know quite a few people that are a lot younger than me and very intelligent.

If you don't mind waiting for lots of time, and just plain kill time, then EVE could be good

Once you've waited long enough for your skills to be done, thats when the fun begins (training for ships does take a while, but once you're done, its smooth sailing)

But what about all of those out there that don't play games but cheat on there partners, steal, kill, rape, ect. ? Now by what you've stated, because they don't play games, they are adults....

these days, consoles are the children games - PC gaming market has turned into an adult playground where most respectable groups/clans/guilds/corps have minimum entry age of 18+, so pull your head out from the late 80's and take a second look around ;)

Actually, you're half-right. Children play games like hopscotch, marbles, and pokemon.

Then there's games that actually require patience, maturity, and itelligence like this one. this game is made for adults. To think that adults do not play games in Europe is arrogant. Speak for yourself, not for the 180+ thousand (more than half) of the European EVE players that do play EVE and other games.

And for the record, you speak truthfully about a great number, but not all Americans.
