As far as I understand there may not be anything written in the bill about illegals. But the fact remains they (illegals) are still treated in our emergency rooms and facilities and when they don't pay the govt doesn't reimburse. So the hospitals have to absorb the cost and they pass that on to us in higher cost. Can't blame the hospitals if they don't make money they close. Either make the illegals citizens or kick them out. If they want to work thats ok but tax them as we are taxed.

It will start out rosy, then bit by bit, it will be decreased until it's all gone.

The only problem is.....there is not enough medical staff/facilities available for the tsunami of new patients that will not just use it but abuse it. With that we get 2.6 doctors & 3.3 hospital beds per 1,000 people, and we live to an avg. age of 78.2 As a whole Europe spends 9.6% of GDP on health care, has 3.9 doctors & 6.6 hospital beds per 1,000 people and live until they are 81.15 old. If we would just model the European health plan we would save 1 Trillion Dollars a year. Thats 1 Trillion!!!

As far as I understand there may not be anything written in the bill about illegals. But the fact remains they (illegals) are still treated in our emergency rooms and facilities and when they don't pay the govt doesn't reimburse. So the hospitals have to absorb the cost and they pass that on to us in higher cost. Can't blame the hospitals if they don't make money they close. Either make the illegals citizens or kick them out. If they want to work thats ok but tax them as we are taxed.

So if we consolidate health care insurance and services into a single government entity and for whatever reason, example bankruptcy/etc., that entity fails.... what other entity will pick up the slack until or even if the government health care entity recovers??? (As much as the health care companies are being railroaded by the government... trusting that they will help or even exists is unlikely.)

Medicare and Social Security (SS): Both are government run agencies, right? So, if the gov is so good and "they" really want to help out the poor, then why is there no cost of living increase for everyone on SS and the cost for Medicare going up, (which is a deduction in their check)? That means less money for the retired. How does this help them? That's exactly what's going to happen to everyone's health care. It will start out rosy, then bit by bit, it will be decreased until it's all gone.

Health care reform is a nice idea. Medical care for everyone at little or no cost. The only problem is.....there is not enough medical staff/facilities available for the tsunami of new patients that will not just use it but abuse it. Mark my words if and/ or when this is passed and those floodgates are opened ppl are going to find out just how under medically staffed this country really is. Put kids in a candy store and tell them it's free, then see what happens.
