@ffjsb I used to be a street racer 25 years ago, until I came very close to killing an innocent bystander who was not even there to watch us race, she was broke down on the side of the road right near the finish line. Thats the last time I did it, I graduated to the dragstrip. Unfortunately the allure of the activity still does and always will lure in people, and there is money in it too. I think every urban metropolis should have a street race track. Sign a waiver in order to set foot on it.

To everyone saying he is stupid , have you every raced one run for 50K in cash ? Then shut up. We have won about 130k racing on the streets. We have lost about 45k but sometimes it happens, so don't knock if you haven't tried it.

@ffjsb I used to be a street racer 25 years ago, until I came very close to killing an innocent bystander who was not even there to watch us race, she was broke down on the side of the road right near the finish line. Thats the last time I did it, I graduated to the dragstrip. Unfortunately the allure of the activity still does and always will lure in people, and there is money in it too. I think every urban metropolis should have a street race track. Sign a waiver in order to set foot on it.

@Doosterify Glad to hear you made the right decision. You might make a few thousand street racing, but it can easily cost you hundreds of thousands over your lifetime. Not to mention jail time. We have lots of places for people to race legit around here.

@ffjsb Actually the thought of how much money it could have cost me was the last thing on my mind. When the woman stepped into my path and I swerved around her, the wind from my car blew her backwards onto her car. My first thought was WTF! HOW CAN SOMEONE BE SO STUPID! But before I was even done with that thought it dawned on me that I was commiting a crime and narrowly missed killing someone while doing it. Its a little over a two hour drive to three different tracks for me now. Legal-safe

Don't race where the 'track' is so short with such an incredibly powerful and fast car. I'd venture to guess that Camaro has/had in excess of 850hp, way to much for street racing...

Can't figure out why idiots want to race on the streets and putting other people's and their own lives in danger. USE A CLOSED DRAG STRIP, he would have had a longer shutdown area and shit like that wouldn't have happened.

Everytime I see one of these knobjobs wreck i laugh my ass off (as long as no bystanders or the bystander's property is damaged)
