I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs + injection and tank clean and rustfree
Not trying to sound like a butt head but driving a British car and your modern Mazda is very different, This is not shifting fast at all. Any British car driver will tell you this
Great vid. One qustion, though, at times I see you hitting something behind the steering wheel on the right side, and I don't think it's a turn signal. What is it?
Good eye! For MGBs with the padded dash like mine the overdrive switch was fitted in the windscreen wiper switch. To push the windscreen wiper switch forward is to engage the overdrive and to pull it aft is to disengage it.
Very nice. This was my first car back in 2000 when I was 15. I got it for free and completely restored it. Next year I can legally drive it at the age of 25 with its antique plates and insurance. I miss taking quick laps around my neighborhood in the car and taking it to British car shows. I repainted it in its original British racing green color. You do not need a radio in this car with some nice glass packs and a set of finely tuned SU carbs!
Nice MGB, I just finished my 1968 MGB in red with overdrive.
