  • It's got to be cinema. The very first TV commercial was an ad for a Bulova watch which was broadcast on WNBT on its first day of commercial programming in July, 1941.

  • they didnt have volkswagen in the 40s either

  • No colour TV even in the States in 1940, the only system was Baird in the UK still experimental and shelved due to the war. The film may have been shown in the States on B/w in larger eastern US cities covered by TV , but not in colour.
