  • How much lower is it ???

And you did a great job....!!!

  • @cicibanx89 - Nearly 2" drop.

  • @fiatnutz Very nice touch...

you are a grade A mechanic!!!

  • @fiatnutz What is the angle of the lowered ones?

    Because of the alignment!???

  • @ciciban750sc - about 15 degrees inward, camber settings will have to be checked and/or made after installation.

  • @fiatnutz Tnx very much.... Rare are people over the seas that know so much about Euro-cars

  • @ciciban750sc - I've been working on foreign iron since I was in high school (mid-60's). I've been racing Fiat's since then.

  • @fiatnutz I wish you could come to Serbia to meet my mechanic

he is something like you butt she's sick and most of the time spends in bed healing...

Your knowleges put together could be quite a use for car industry and tuning

  • Looking good, John! Keep 'em coming.

  • do you have the stock spindles? I would like to buy them...

  • @Luka464 - I modify the spindles I have, or for others. I'll look and see if I can find you a set.

  • @fiatnutz ok tnx...

  • a question: shorter steering arm also makes steering wheel heavyer?

  • On this car you can't really feel heavy steering, however on other makes... you might. I'll trade heavy steering for quicker steering anyday.

  • i have an 850 sport coupe that i'm beginning to restore/upgrade. since it is to remain a road going car, heavy steering would be an issue. however, because of lightweight front end i guess it's not that important after all.

it's an interesting mod in any case. i was thinking how to speed up the steering on my fiat 131 and that's excellent solution.

  • If you are using a stock size steering wheel, you will most likely not even notice anything. The Sedan can be steered thru most autox corners w/1/2 turn of the wheel. ;-) Check out my latest vids of the Sedan on autox courses.

  • @djape1977 - This car is so light that I can't tell any difference. I removed .700" from the length, it's not all that much.

  • Hi John,

it looks, like you have modified also the top end of the spindle?

The top hole is for my view not in the center?

Could you please explain, if it is so, and what is the reason?

    Thank you

    Roman

  • I wanted to keep the top A-arm parallel to the ground plane, which this does quite nicely.

  • very cool -- and did you wax the car? it is actually shiny! and new numbers too.....wonder what you will do next......kill John...kill!!!!

  • I bet your car is going around turns better.

  • Hiya.

    Nice conversion.

You wouldn't by any chance have stress relieved the part or, X-rayed or crack tested it would you ?

    Regards

    gregW:-)

  • nice

  • Also noticed the eccentric camber adjustment on the top mount. Good stuff! : D
