No, I don't agree, he would have judged his life completely differently, from how we might, the joy to be had from writing that which no other has ever seen or thought, is fabulous in the extreme.

that's called a typewriter ; I'm old enough to say I've used one. lol Not a sad life , this guy did more than most of us could ever imagine. Seems like he was searching to live a hard life, always going to the front line and pushing it to the egde... Maso? lol
