  • My mom and I spent hours when I was little trying to beat the level with the spider. I don't remember if we ever beat it to this day :) Good memories for sure.

  • @Nutesack OH MY GOD, MY MOM AND I DID THAT TOOOO, we have good moms' lol, i would come home and get off the bus and she would be out in the road telling me to run faster cuz she couldnt be a level, she told me she couldnt wait for me to get home cuz she knew i could beat it lol, so so fun, i hate growing up =(

  • @Leefonzell Well think of the pleasure your mother gained from that... we can one day relive that happiness through our own children!

  • *sets up a hammock in a haunted forest* ~ *lays back and enjoys the music*

  • ahead of its time instrumentally. David Wise used some amazing drumkits which i don't think anyone ever bothered to touch.

  • As fantastic as Stickerbrush Symphony is, it's a shame it gets much more attention than this masterpiece! I love them both the same!

  • When I hear the beginning of this song, my mind always places that "Nya ah ah!" laugh that headless Kong throwing barrels has there.

    I hated that guy. =/

  • @positiveopinions him and Krook are my favorite enemies and i have always called him The Coat

    and doesn't he say "Kah-Kah-Kah"?

  • I like how this stage looked. had the sunbeams goin thru the trees. cloudy. falltime. makes me wana chilll out back on a cool evening n knock back some brewhaha!!

  • Nostalgia just punched me so hard in the face. Good god I need to play this again.

  • Best DKC track ever. Better then Stickerbrush Symphony IMO

  • This Game was so ahead of its time.

  • I played this and Super Mario World a long time ago and I just started playing them again. This game is still a ton of fun, even today. I think it's much better than SMW and it's not like that's a bad game.

  • DKC had the most beautiful music on the SNES by an immeasurably wide margin. Remember the winter music from the first game? I'll never forget it... it is so memorable that I can remember just about everything that was going on in my life at the very moment I first heard it.

  • @imisssoundgarden The only game that gives the DKC series a run for its money is Final Fantasy VI. Other than that nothing comes close IMO.

  • If i wasn't being murdered with college finals, I'd be playing this right now. But at least when i play these songs I remember exactly how each level goes so it's kinda like I'm playing it even though I'm working all day on projects and papers. Kind of genius and kind of sad... maybe.

  • Could be the best "forest" music in any game.

  • I first heard this song yesterday and immediately loved it!!

  • Sweet Christ I had no Idea this game's soundtrack was this good!!! Now to download and play...

  • If I were exploring a different planet for humanities first time I would want this to play in the background

  • God, this song is beautiful. So many childhood memories are rushing back to me right now.

  • No matter how many times I hear it, this song ceases to lose my interest, a truly powerful, emotional, and masterful composition.

  • Glad that I have it as a ROM right now for my computer. Somehow, i miss the old times, when i was a kid and everything was unpredictable!

  • My favorite video game song of all time

  • I like this game one of the best snes

  • I played this game every day during winter in 5th grade. I loved it. Adjusted for entertainment inflation, this is best game ever.

  • This one and Stickerbrush are pretty much the most nostalgic to me. I used to play this endlessly as a young kid. It was more than just a video game back then, it was...another dimension. I still have and play all three games and have the enitre soundtrack to all three games burned to CD's and synched to my MP3 player.

  • This is my favorite track of the game...thanks =)

  • R u Going to Durocher ?

  • thats it!!!!! im gonna get this for the VC for my wii!

  • thats it!!!!!!!!!!!! im going to get this game for gba

  • I can assure you the SNES version is way better

  • I was just up north here in Michigan and I was in a really foresty (wow that's not a word >_>) area, and all that I could think of was this song and also Secret of the Forest from Chrono Trigger.

    this song...is...just absolute sex.

  • I've never played this game but I can say one thing. I want to have sex with this video.

  • @nowaydudewtf oh wow. good luck =)

  • so soothing. :-)

  • I wish they could combine this version with the GBA version...then it would be perfect.

  • I agree. I admit the GBA version has some flaws, but it also has some features I really like. I wish we could combine the best of each.

  • My eyes get wet hearing this music... I was 12 back then, I miss so much those snes games, I'll never ever forget them, not even today's "best games" can achieve what the old games did to our lives.... if you played them u know exacty what I mean...

  • Nostalgia?

  • jejeje así es, pero mas que nostalgia.... es añorar los buenos tiempos en su conjunto y lo que viví en esa época, los 90's

  • mm.. ya somos dos amigo. =)

  • It's called "nostalgia" and that accounts for most of it. I'll agree to an extent though. Our games back then weren't just "hey let's blow this guy up" (not to say that all of today's games are, as I dabble with a few co-op strategy games) and crap. They were designed for us to have fun and the music was actually good rather than that "doom and gloom" crap they put to try to scare you..

  • @nowaydudewtf wow, im commenting on you when you put this up 6 months ago!, you have a REALY good point there, but back in the day when i was a kid, there were no rated M games, just this awsomeness, the only "bad" game back then was doom. but todays games made by nintendo REALY have good composers

  • is a sadness but currently there are no more games like this ... =(

  • unfortunately rareware sold out. but so true. =(

  • How did they sell out?

  • 0:42 is pure haunted bliss!

  • Merveilleux...

  • Wow. Maybe this is the best DKC2 sound track. That game seriously has some nice tunes!

Why don't they make these musics nowadays? Just remixing so they sound bad?

    SNES music ftw!

  • From 1:52 might be the best part : )

Until it starts over again. Then it's normal nice.

  • Nevermind, I refreshed and it fixed itself. Awesome nostalgia rush and song though.

  • Is this from a real snes, or emulator?

  • This song is so peaceful!! When i was young and played this game, i'd always want to get to these 2 levels just for the MUSIC!! then i'd get distracted and get hit by the ghost or something lol

  • This song really makes me want to get back to 6 years ago, when I discovered this wonderful music.

  • :( Me too, in my case 12years ago

  • I discovered it this weekend.

I beat DKC1 and then put in DKC2. the music in the first level takes a while to come on strong and it really turned me off. I thought the game was a soulless, artless one.

I played it up to Krazy Kremland in one sitting and was blown away.. beautiful

  • You can and I do! I first got this game 13-14 years ago when it first came out..

The only way I can feel like I did before when I played through these games listening to the music is baked.

  • Luckily I still have my SNES and it works. I play SNES some days, just for not letting die the nostalgia

  • I dont have my snes anymore, but my nostalgia is still with me

  • whaddya mean overshadowed? its my fav! i hav it on itunes n its my favorite dkc2 song!

  • It'll always be overshadowed by Stickerbush Symphony. But this is the bees knees, too.

  • lol bees knees, stickerbush is the best though. everyone whos played dkc2 will find themselves humming it at one point or another...

  • I can hear this song anytime I want because I bought the whole DK country series on vrtual conseal

  • This track is fucking awesome stoned.

But, the track is even better without Cannabis :).

DKC2's nostalgia is more intense than most other games I've played

  • The SNES always becomes a memory of my childhood

  • i still have my snes n the game i used 2 play it all the time xD

  • How do you get the music test for this game in Snes??

  • try looking 4 the soundtrack on internet and download it like a torrent file or something like that

  • at this screen shown (with one player, two player contest two player team) press down on d pad repeatedly to get to the cheat menu and music test

  • stickerbrush symphony vs forest interlude.... idk its a tie

  • Stickerbush seems more of a bright blue sky with clouds almost pure white, a sunny careless freedom kinda feeling, no worries or concerns. Forest interlude is more of a calm quiet walk through a forest, the setting sun shining through the treetops and bathing the ground in golden red rays, a thoughtful and deep kinda feeling. Or thats how I think / feel anyway.

Out of the two I prefer the interlude one, 'cause I do love seeing a forest in a setting sun's light, looks so beautiful.

  • Nice choice of words. I wouldve worded it differently.. but it's still nasty :p

  • @Maplekitty Which is funny, because that's exactly how RARE felt when setting the music to the levels. The bramble levels are clear sky, while the forest levels have those golden rays of light and vegetation. Truly a masterpiece.

  • @Maplekitty become a writer NOW :)

  • @Maplekitty I've read this quite a few times within the last few years yet never replied for one reason or another. But all I can say is, very nice :)

  • omg it so is

  • thanx

  • This brings back memories of the good-ol' platformers.

  • YEAH how do u get to music test

  • When you have to choose how many players will play, go to the bottom, and right there, press down 5 times

  • Pure nostalgia right here. They dont make them like this anymore. Absolute classic game....and the music is just brilliant. Good old days!

  • when i walk home from my friend's house around midnight 30 minutes long, it's a pitch dark except for the illumination by some mainroad houses and during these walks i play this song on repeat, makes me feel safe and the walk quicker and enjoyable, thanks nintendo, i wish you guys came back for a dck4 :'(

  • I was thinking about buying thing game and a super N.E.S. just to listen to this song !!! Now that I found this song on youtube ... I don`t have to . This game sure brings back memories .

  • You HAVE to buy the game.

YouTube will never give you the feeling of hearing this while climbing a ghost rope on a enchanted wood.

  • AGREED.

  • Amen to that!

  • Indeed; I concur!

There is nothing better than firing webs as Squitter for over half of the level.

  • So true! I would buy a nintendo wii just to download this game on virtual console!

  • Indeed; I concur!

There is nothing better than firing webs as Squitter for over half of the level.

  • Lol, thanks for that MysticalChicken. :D

  • how do you get to the music test

  • Best theme in DKC2

  • I feel scared. Yet its almost like that chirping bird is telling me "everything is gonna be alright" lol :P

  • Haha lol =P Its like im lost in an forest and then its getting dark... of something x'D

  • lol me too

  • This is probably my most favorite video game song of all time. I remember when I used to have this game, I'd sit in the one stage that had this track for about ten or fifteen minutes and just listen to the music. Hezkore does an awesome rendition of this song that I just found on Skreemr.

  • I feel homesick. But I'm at home. Oh phew...

  • wow.

my thoughts exactly, it haunts me yet i cannot stop listening.

so enchanting and evocative its amazing.

  • This track fits perfectly to the kind of stage for the game. Combined with the graphics, it gives the best interest. We can see many elements coming out from the song. One of the best soundtracks from one of the best games ever released. The composer has worked well with 100 tunes made for this game. Many of you would agree with that.

  • These were some of the best games then compare to what they make now. They just don't make good games like these anymore.

  • You is defintly right about this game having some of the best music. This was my favorite song on this game. I remember me and my friend playing this game when I was 16 back in oct of 96. And now when I listen to it, its just crazy to think that, that was almost 12 years ago. Time goes by so fast.

  • This game had some of the best music around, and I never fully appreciated it until just recently. It's got that World/Trance feel, sick.

  • This is the most beutiful sountrack of this game.:)

  • It's so strange. I feel sorta homesick...

  • Yea you're right, I feel kinda homesick when I listen to this.

  • This is a very relaxing song.

  • Tonight, I am going to dust off my SNES and play this game.

  • Best song in the game!

  • first, this song haunted me. but now that i listen to it, it's just magnificent. awesome song man. simply awesome.

  • I'm diffenetly favouriting this one! I love this one!

  • the 2nd best song in the whole series i luv that bird chirping to the beat!!!

  • this music is sooooooooo fresh

  • Mystical, magical, enchanting, and beautiful.

Those words may not sum it up.

  • this is the best on e ^_^ so relaxn' i wonder what program RARE used 4 the music in this game

  • i still have this on snes and play it from time to time :)

this game was so much fun and had awesome music, i wish they still made games like this :( so awesome

  • I know what you mean :'(

  • This is my favorite

  • Is the name of the song Enchanted Wood or Forest Interlude? because the game seems to have issues with the video title lol.

  • Both. In-game it's Enchanted Wood, but the DKC2 soundtrack CD (and DKC2 GBA's soundtrack) says Forest Interlude.

  • Yeah i thought it was something like that, i just wanted to know so i could download, both do work =)
