Glad someone finally posted this match. I originally thought that I was the only person that enjoyed it.
About two years back I purchased the three disc undertaker DVD hoping that one of the matches on it would be this one but It had the buried alive match instead. That match was a sleeper if you ask me this one was much much better.
WWE's loss of Mick Foley was the first true blow....
Can you imagine if WWE loses Mark Calaway what would happen??!!
He is the only superstar goin' strong ever since the attitude era!!!
I'm sorry, but Shawn Michaels, your retirement is LONG overdue(even if it IS kayfabe). I do hope you put on a good show though.. I finally got over the Screwjob when he made peace with Bret Hart
sooner or later, those big boys since attitude era will retire...
the only thing wwe could do now is to make much more interesting storylines/matches like this and get those younger superstars into this, push them even further and make big names for themselves like Mankind, Undertaker, Kane etc.
i am asian, and i dont know anything abt the TV ratings you westerners have... still, vince need to change wwe's tv rating...
lol im always scared watching the beginning of a boiler room match because you never know where mankind is in the room, and the BOILER ROOM DANGER SIGN MAKES IT EVEN WORSE!
Gah this brings backs such good memories. This was when the wrestling still have a real mystique to it, especially with The Undertaker. And these boiler room matches were classics.
Definetly, real characters and atmosphere back then, now everybody's running around cloning eacother, you couldn't tell me the difference between Orton, Batista, Edge, Triple H or DiBiase Jr.
i would exclude HHH from that list... but i agree with you, you cannot tell the difference between them and i would add Cody Rhodes, Cena, Jericho, Dolph Zigler , Evan Bourne, Drew Mcintyre, etc... no one has something special.... they are all normal people who have no issues, powers, or even a different outfit
well, i never talked about the 12 years ago jericho... i thought we were talking about the WWE nowadays... i think the problem is this version of the wwe...
WASH YOUR MOUTH WITH SOUP if you watched WWF a bit longer you will see that wwf is the birthplace of wrestlemania if there wasnt a wwf there wouldnt be a wrestlemania so shut up

WaiT!!
actually the wrestlemania name was created in the 40's by UWF and when they went belly up WWf took the wrestlemania name and put their own spin on it. (making it theirs.)
brutal treatment and attacked him as well I fondly remember the Boiler Room Brawl between Mankind and The Big Show during the Backlash 1999 pay per view that was really sick and violent especially when Big Show chokeslammed Mankind off that ladder and he went though a wooden pane glass window I covered my eyes in horror when that happened but still 2 of my favourite all time matches and I was coincidentally at both Summerslam 96 and Backlash 99 events with my family
anyone agree that this had to be one of the most violent and barbaric matches ever I mean seeing The Undertaker and Mankind who's squealing really got annoying at times beat the living shit out of one another was very disturbing when the Undertaker hit Mankind across the head very hard with that shovel god that was one nasty mean vicious Undertaker and he didn't show no fear he gave Mankind quite a fair amount of punishment and beat him senseless even though Mankind did give Undertaker some

@annnan That depends; Undertaker has a son so maybe if Gunner Calaway wnat's to become a wrestler they can try and push him as some big new talent.
