  • Glad someone finally posted this match. I originally thought that I was the only person that enjoyed it.

About two years back I purchased the three disc undertaker DVD hoping that one of the matches on it would be this one but It had the buried alive match instead. That match was a sleeper if you ask me this one was much much better.

  • 1 of my favorites

  • The is the best BRM ever!

  • undertaker vs mankind always had some of the best matches

  • man undertaker was so creepy back then

  • I remember watching this match over and over again weeks after it was aired

  • see matches like these drew in fans not the stupid PG shit airing now

  • fake or not i wouldnt be goin in there with taker or mankind anytime soon

  • If the Undertaker retires, then I'm through with wrestling.

  • @sasoripuppets1 2rite m8

  • WWE's loss of Mick Foley was the first true blow....

Can you imagine if WWE loses Mark Calaway what would happen??!!

He is the only superstar goin' strong ever since the attitude era!!!

I'm sorry, but Shawn Michaels, your retirement is LONG overdue(even if it IS kayfabe). I do hope you put on a good show though.. I finally got over the Screwjob when he made peace with Bret Hart

  • sooner or later, those big boys since attitude era will retire...

the only thing wwe could do now is to make much more interesting storylines/matches like this and get those younger superstars into this, push them even further and make big names for themselves like Mankind, Undertaker, Kane etc.

i am asian, and i dont know anything abt the TV ratings you westerners have... still, vince need to change wwe's tv rating...

  • @annnan That depends; Undertaker has a son so maybe if Gunner Calaway wnat's to become a wrestler they can try and push him as some big new talent.

  • "The Undertaker vs Mankind" When I say that i right away think of insane street fight.

  • Mankind...only he could make undertaker hesitate like he did before going in the boiler room

  • thank god for youtube! Brings back memories! I remeber watching this when i was little..I LOOOVED TAKER AND MANKIND! Classic feud and awesome match.

  • Foley rules man, in 6 years he was the first one to been able to without cheating defeat the undertaker

  • The boiler room part of the fight was filmed the day before Summerslam!

  • one of my most favourite matches ever! absolut classic! and it was really creepy

  • when he does that squealing noise, it honestly looks something out a horror movie, coz the boiler room looks kinda freaky

  • no offense to him but he sounds like a pig

  • lmao. first time i heard that i nearly burst out laughin

  • wait if its dangerous.. WTF r the cameramen doin in there!

  • Even the announcers were in awe by the match. It's the only time I didn't mind not having JR do commentary.

  • lol im always scared watching the beginning of a boiler room match because you never know where mankind is in the room, and the BOILER ROOM DANGER SIGN MAKES IT EVEN WORSE!

  • when he does them squeals, it sounds like its on a horror movie set. i mean with it being in a dark boiler room

  • Gah this brings backs such good memories. This was when the wrestling still have a real mystique to it, especially with The Undertaker. And these boiler room matches were classics.

  • Definetly, real characters and atmosphere back then, now everybody's running around cloning eacother, you couldn't tell me the difference between Orton, Batista, Edge, Triple H or DiBiase Jr.

  • i would exclude HHH from that list... but i agree with you, you cannot tell the difference between them and i would add Cody Rhodes, Cena, Jericho, Dolph Zigler , Evan Bourne, Drew Mcintyre, etc... no one has something special.... they are all normal people who have no issues, powers, or even a different outfit

  • @sabeJD Yeah Jericho really fell off, if we were talking about Jericho from 12 years ago I would totally disagree with you

  • well, i never talked about the 12 years ago jericho... i thought we were talking about the WWE nowadays... i think the problem is this version of the wwe...

  • @sabeJD yeah we were, im just talkin about Jericho really falling off as far as a character

  • Mankind rules BANG BANG ;p

  • Taker FTW!!!

  • BANG BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that is the best place for a hardcore match because there are all kinds of stuff to use

  • if there is one thing Mick Fowley knows how to do, it's lose a get torn up in the most creative and memorable (and real) ways possible.

*glasses up* I toast to the crazy bastard.

  • mankind is a big fat ugly rat

  • "DA DOH! DA DOH! WIIIIEE!!"

HAHA mankinds noises were priceless :P

  • can u blame him? lol. How would u feel if u had to go up against a deranged, crazy, maniac like mankind in a dark boiler room.

  • I would not wish anyone to face mankind in a dark boiler room match on my worst ememy

  • the boiler room part of this match was actually filmed a few days prior to summerslam

    its in foley's first book

  • so that explains the signal going out during it then?

  • exactly...

"Have A Nice Day (A tale of blood and sweatsocks)" great read, if youre into that sort of thing haha

  • even if you DONT like wrestling its still a good book

  • WASH YOUR MOUTH WITH SOUP if you watched WWF a bit longer you will see that wwf is the birthplace of wrestlemania if there wasnt a wwf there wouldnt be a wrestlemania so shut up

  • i like soup

  • True but they MADE A BETTER ONE

  • brutal treatment and attacked him as well I fondly remember the Boiler Room Brawl between Mankind and The Big Show during the Backlash 1999 pay per view that was really sick and violent especially when Big Show chokeslammed Mankind off that ladder and he went though a wooden pane glass window I covered my eyes in horror when that happened but still 2 of my favourite all time matches and I was coincidentally at both Summerslam 96 and Backlash 99 events with my family

  • anyone agree that this had to be one of the most violent and barbaric matches ever I mean seeing The Undertaker and Mankind who's squealing really got annoying at times beat the living shit out of one another was very disturbing when the Undertaker hit Mankind across the head very hard with that shovel god that was one nasty mean vicious Undertaker and he didn't show no fear he gave Mankind quite a fair amount of punishment and beat him senseless even though Mankind did give Undertaker some

  • This and the attitude era was the best that the wwe had to offer

  • maybe the cleaner didnt do their job properly?

  • this one is easily the best quality copy of this match on here

  • this in smackdown vs raw would be really awesome!

  • mankind sounds lyk a deranged pig

  • I used to laugh my ass off when he made those sounds in the N64 game!!

  • good ol days of WWF i remember seeing this when i was 6 years old my 1st PPV wrestling show i ever saw.

this is what made me a WWF fan

  • lol just listen to the sounds mankind makes when he fights.

    AHHJAA

    AHHHAA

    AHHHHPLAH

  • lol, if u play the game wwf warzone he makes the same damn noise

  • i think there was fear on the undertaker BY N.M.L.E

  • why are mcmahon or J.R. saying anything I wonder?

  • :S Mankind the best

  • Did i see fear of the undertaker

  • He is just being cautious two different things you would'nt done the same thing
