  • Nice work, man!

What pickups(bridge and neck) you're using in this guitar?

    Thanks a lot

  • @Tchelvismb Hi and thanks! That's a Rio Grande BBq in the bridge and the stock BurstBucker 1 in the beck.

  • It's strange, but i cannot find particular differences between this speaker and the Vintage 30.

  • Have this cab the WGS ET 65 speakers?

  • @SEBANO1974 Yeah, two ET65 speakers.

  • hey are you bill landry?? cheers,

  • @fretboarder No, but I'm in St Louis and I know him.

  • @SgtThump ok man no probs:) nice gear! ive got a gibson r8 and a marshall tube nice..

  • Just something I made up.

  • song at the beginning?

  • Hey thanks! Yeah, I've had some really nice amps. Almost all of them were great in their own right. I really liked the CAA OD100 SE+, Landry LS100, Soldano SLO, VHT Ultra-Lead, and Diezel Einstein. They all covered similar ground, but in a different way. Out of all of those, the OD100 may be my favorite, but like I said, the others were killer too.

Nowadays, I only use a Mesa Electra-Dyne 1x12" combo with the band and a Peavey Classic 30 1x12" combo at home and for band rehearsals.

  • @SgtThump You've got great tone in your hands, I'm not surprised that all of your demos sound great. Could you do a demo of the Electro-Dyne? Of all that's out there, can you tell me why that Mesa is your main rig? Thanks.

  • @bscfo1 Wow, thanks man. I have quite a few videos on my channel of the Electra-Dyne, both at home and live with the band. Check 'em out!

I got divorced this past year and ended up selling most of my higher dollar items. Since the Electra-Dyne has worked out very well for me, I decided to just stick with it!

  • @SgtThump Sorry to hear about your divorce. I'll look for the Electro-Dyne on your channel. It looks portable and pretty simple to use which is unusual for a Mesa. My Mark IV combo is a great amp - but it breaks my back and all the switches and settings can get bumped or even torn off when you carry it. Almost killed it last week when I bumped the power AND standby on while transporting it. It sat there turned on (and up) at rehearsal with no speaker hooked up.

  • @bscfo1 Nah, don't be sorry. It's a good thing! LOL I tell ya what, the Electra Dyne 1x12" combo is a SUPER heavy beast. It's not real easy to deal with going up and down stairs and stuff. They only have a single (really nice) handle on the top. They need some 4x12" style handles on the sides. It's a widebody combo, so I'm sure those handles would fit. Hmmmm...

  • Sounds great! Nice playing too. You've had some pretty amazing amps, is this your main rig now? I'm definitely going to check these out. What is it about this one that you like so much over the SLO, 5150, and Diezel?

  • AMAZING tone!

  • sounds great. beautiful cleans.

  • What's your crappy camcorder ? If I already owned this model I could do my demos ! Would you know a model it is possibble to plug a good microphone straight into it ?

  • Most of my videos were done with a FujiFilm "FinePix S700" digital camera that also records video. The problem is that the built-in mic sucks.

I just recently picked up a Zoom Q3 video/audio recorder and it's amazing. Check out the most recent videos I posted (even some with the band) for a sample.

The audio quality is amazing on that thing!

  • K I L L E R A M P

  • Thanks! Yes it is! I've owned quite a few nice amps and this Landry beats them all for the tones I'm after.

  • what did you pay for the head? it sounds amazing!

  • Very nice! I had the pleasure of trying this amp out at the New York Amp Show, and man, what a pleasant surprise that was! The guys from Landry are super nice too, and really seem to love what they do.

  • Hey thanks! Yeah, Bill Landry is a great guy and he's made one hell of an amp. This video doesn't do it any justice. It's a SMOKING amp!

  • does he make bass amps, say 300 watts?

  • Not that I know of, but he needs to do that! A 300-watt tube bass head that runs on 6550 power tubes and maybe even has two channels. Hell yes!

  • Nice sound

  • No, it's not just you. I hear that too. People say it's impossible to get guitars PERFECTLY in tune with itself. You can get close, but not perfect.

Alot of it has to do with the intonation and tuning of course, but also how hard you hit the strings and stuff like that. I agree that it's annoying, though. I've never tried that Buzz Feiten tuning system thingy, but maybe I should sometime.

  • I know you aren't that much older than me, and you have family, but will you leave me the Landry in your will? I am willing to wait.....

  • Hmm, sure. Just print out this page and bring it to court. You can have the amp. :)

  • I think I like the "woman tone" on the Tourmaster a little better to be honest. But the clean sound on the Landry does sound good indeed.

  • I thought the Tourmaster was great. But the Landry is much more my thing. The Landry sounds much, much bigger than the Egnater in person too.

  • Sounds killer!

    What are your settings?

  • Thanks! It's a really simple amp, so there's nothing tricky about dialing it in. But in general... Clean channel - Gain full, treble 12:00, mids full, bass 2:00... OD channel - Gain full, treble 10:00, mids 10:00, bass 1:00... I have the global presence around 9:00 and adjust the channel/global master volumes to taste. Oh yeah, I have the high gain control around 2:00.

  • Thanks bro!

I love the tone you are getting with this amp!

  • No, thank you! I just got this amp yesterday. I live near St. Louis where Bill Landry is located. He brought out some amps to a local "ampfest" get together last Saturday and his amp ruled the day. I thought about it for 2 days and finally decided to go for it. I'm glad I did!

It's all handmade with beautiful cosmetics and tone!

  • Sounds good! Better then the 'original' Landry vids imho
