I have the new Ipod Touch 3G 32GB and I have attempted this. The calls do go through but when answered, neither end can hear anything. I've tried looking for an answer to this, but nowhere does anyone say anything about Fring SIP calls and the new iPod Touch, only the 2nd gen. The VoipStunt program does work on my PC.

that is the sensor.. so when your playing 3d games it will allow you to move the phone different angles for different actions. Also it is used for light. it registers how much light is put on the screen so it will alter its settings so you can see it better.. neat huh?

i live in canada umm i got this thing all set up it was working fine and everything was going good then all a sudden whenever i tried to call someone cell or landline it jsut terminates the call after like 30 seconds i have an IPkall and people can call me fine but i cant call them i put in the 1 before the area code i have no clue whats wrong my connection is good

umm wen u sign up for IPkall the sever is SIP so it will send it to your SIP account with is on fring so u dont need to do anything just call the number with the area code and it works!

umm for the call to work it has to go through a number of servers like the SIP then to the acualy landline and theres other kinds of servers if one of those servers is down or not running the call wont work if that is the case all we can do is wait. but i think that u might have to make another account there might be some limitations on your calls

I've got 2 questions:

first, can you call a home phone with a free SIP account like Voipstunt or is it only mobile phones.

Second, When I'm close to my computer and try to call. I can hear what's going on in my computer so, if i'm watching a video when calling, it doesn't ring instead, it's a poor quality sound of whatever is going on in my computer.

Do I have to close my computer?

voip is ok but the quality isnt that great and you need internet for it to work. The new Call Global Iphone app doesnt need internet, has better call quality and is less expensive!

First of all try to make a call to the fring test call - if it works than it's a problem with your sip provider.

(044)(55)and 8 characters or numbers: The 044+55 at first is when you call from a local phone (example; your house). If you use the "55" at first is when you call a from an another cellphone to my cellphone. So how can i use my 8 number of mu cellphone?

Of course it doesn't have the cell phone option since your iPod touch doesn't have a sim card... it's not an iPhone after all :-)

On the iPhone - voice calls are only allowed on WiFi (iPod doesn't have anything else)

As I said, fring is also available for other platforms like Symbian and WM where you can also make voice calls over 3G.
