saw it last night in Atlanta! AMAZING! i went to the stage door and met everyone and they were soo nice! i must say though, Felicia was a LOT better than Montego
Bryan Fenkart IS amazing. I was on his live performance on Broadway. Not to tell anything about Chad Kimbal, but Bryan is simply better. Much better. Awesome voice.
@DetectiveBlackGuy I read the guy's name is Bryan Fenkart, Chad Kimball's understudy. They say he's fantastic. There are a few clips of him here on youtube, but they aren't theater recordings so it's a little hard to judge.
I must admit, when I saw the show, I was thinking during this song "...OK. We get it. You're underground. PLOT PROGRESSION, PLOX." lol. Now, I love the song, and I have nooo idea why I was that antsy. I think it was because I saw someone outside the nightclub with a cigarette - aka Huey - and was like "FINISH THE SONG SO HE CAN WALK IN. I WANNA SEE THIS GUY." lol. But yeah, <3Memphis!
Im going to New York this year and I am curious is Memphis still playing? Because Im thinking of buying the soundtrack.... and then going to see it. It sounds really really good.
@broadwayxdude06 I thought it was really good. Obviously everyone has different opinions, but I saw in NY last year and saw the movie when it was released a couples ago for the limited showings. From what I've heard from other people, they also enjoy it. The music is great too :)
@RosesNightengales You mean is the show the same as the movie? If that's the question then yes. The only thing I didn't like with the movie was the directing - too many close ups. I know that the movie provided a different kind of intimacy then the one on stage, but I felt that there were too many close ups and as a result, you didn't get to see what else was happening on stage. In saying that, the movie was great; especially if you see the stage performance and just want to keep watching it :)
@anaklusmos16 I think it's a sad day when we have to use South Park as a reference for the great Mr. Hayes. But yes, I agree he does sound like him to me.
hahah i was 6 rows from the front!!! haha but they had to use the understudy for huey (who i personally liked better) but it was absolutely amazing!!!
@McRtOdDwOvErMaRmAr97 Bryan Fenkart! He was greaaaat. I actually like him better than Chad. Sorry, Chad-supporters. XD I love Chad, don't get me wrong, but Bryan just blew me away.
@anotherday69 have fun, and if ur sitting in balcony 2, look for a pair of black and white framed sunglasses, haha I lost mine there, lol but I got new ones from some guy for $5 =)
@LinzKinzCullen1000 Haha. I saw it tonight and it was pretty amazing. I got mezzanine seats with a partially blocked view (cheap seats though, so I'm not complaining). Didn't find any sunglasses. haha. Sorry :P
@anotherday69 haha I was on the 2nd balcony but you know how new york is, you lose it, someone finds it, no big deal though, i got them for 5 dollars i saw thte show on a 6th grade class trip on June 3rd its my favorite show!!

Does anyone know if Chad Kimball will be playing Huey during the 2011 tour? Specifically in Chicago?
