  • Accord and Altima is better than the camry. The Camry is for the older generation.

  • we have a 2008 altima 3.5SE, full load except nav. very happy with the car.

uncle has a 2008 Accord 3.5, same load...

can't go wrong with either car.

  • @CrashJSTest RIGHT ON POINT!

To back up what CrashJSTest said, they should have used the camry SE V6. Car is way nicer than all and quicker. Where did these people get these results for the 0-60 + 1/4 mile? I am a drag racer and my friend's dad has a V6 camry SE. We took that crap to MOROSO just for fun and easily laid down 14.5 on the quarter. The car easily delivers acceptable speed. The specs he provided for the camry are even slower than the accord V6. All other reviewers gave better specs

  • i have a 2006 nissan altima. i saw the newer models and they r NICE! my friend has an accord. its pretty cool. the camry is fast but i still like nissans best

  • i test drove all but the malibu and I gotta say I was really happy with the Accord and the Altima

  • Chevrolet all the way!

  • Malibu sucks last place

  • @CrashJSTest Yaeh but i mean like overall

  • @InsideLineVideo which one have the best gas mileage?

  • The Malibu sucks and it sucked forever in the past.

Plus you said the Altima had the most equipment when the Camry has just about everything the Altima has and they somewhat work better.

  • My Accord SE V6 is awesome. Way better than Altima and Camry. Camry is too boring and Altima is mostly about looks.

  • Altima > Accord

    Accord > Camry

    Camry > Malibu

    Malibu < Accord

    Malibu < Altima

    Thats how it should go

  • @M67v i think the new camry is better then the new accord. mostly because the new accords transmission seems to go up before the camry. as it always has in the past..

  • @chevyblows2001 I see what you mean. It always seemed when I drove a Camry and an Accord the Camry's transmission is better

  • honda the best..........

  • cgevy is good at making sport car,, but not family car =(

  • If the altima took regular fuel I'd buy it. Since it don't I'd take the accord or the toyota SE

  • @bkvintagecorp you can put regular fuel in it. it doesn't make a difference

  • @tigerferdy94 the v6 altima recommends premium fuel

  • I would get the Altima over the Accord hands down!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Damn, I'm loving that Chevy...

  • @strife2xlr8 I think the Malibu sucks so hard

  • nissan altima is the best

  • Nissan

    Is

    Still

    Slow

    And

    Noisy

  • @dammyousuck what are u smoking.

  • @v1per808 idk but i love nissan i just wanted to share :D

  • @dammyousuck yea, but its not slow or noisy. well it is noisy because of the CVT, but it makes it sound like a V-6, well kind of. But hell for sure its not slow for a sedan. lol

i have to say though, the new altima looks better than the other lame sedans, even the mazda 6. haha

  • @v1per808 No" the slow and noisy "refers to the hardbody, alot of people where i live

likes to make it loud and shit xD

  • @dammyousuck ohhh, that makes a clearer sense. lol

yea that does tend to get irratating, especially the sound of tune ups. i agree with u then. haha

  • @v1per808 hahaha yeahh now you know why,

its loud cause it has no muffler and they change gears around 3-5k rpms

but at least you get what i was saying xD

  • @dammyousuck lol yea, now i get it.

  • Altima sedan is def. better than the Accord. The Accord coupe is def. better than the Altima coupe.

  • @lilshane93 i highly disagree, and my family actually owns an altima sedan... it drives terribly considering everybody hypes it to be an amazing driver's car... huge disappointment.

  • I disagree with your statement. I own a 07 altima 3.5SE and it is by far one of the best cars I've driven. Theres a performance market for it even tho mine is stock, it still gets the job done quickly. Im trading in the car however next year for a Nismo Z. INSURANCE BE DAMNED!

  • @lilshane93 you said it brother

  • @lilshane93 I disagree about the Coupes.

  • @lrossi888 /watch?v=FTIEH0vDqkw&feature=relmfu

  • Accord 0-60 in 7 ? Really... Camry The fastest ? OMFG this is sutch a lie! ahahaa The accord V6 Gets 0-60 in 6.4... Crazy!! ahaha

  • this is why camry gets into unintended accelerations

  • I own the 09 Camry V6, its fast... infact its the fastest car in its class! i have beaten a c300 merceded and 350z by 2 car lengths, yes i agree at first the camry looks boring.. but tint the windows and install some nice Konig rims.. and you have a sexy sports car.

  • Altima totally derserved fist place!

  • Why?... Definitely not!

  • Where is the maxima?

  • @FTrain4750 The Maxima is known as a sport sedan now.

  • i know but there were always competition with the camry accord and max i guess the altima is gonna take its place as a family car

  • Yeah. Let's just say the Maxima evolved from a family sedan to a sport sedan. The current one now looks sporty.

  • Yep and it failed :D

  • @FTrain4750 @007MoMoney Wrong,,, Maxima is a "Full size sedan now" Not mid!

  • I never said it was a mid.

  • I know... But I was saying... Like the Max is a full size, Thats why they dont compare with accord...

  • Accord, Camry and Maxima are all full size now.

the altima is midsize hence it has taken the place of the maxima.

  • No man... Wrong. Altima is in the same class... They are all large sedans... Altima did not replace the maxima... The maxima has grown slowly but surely over the years...

  • @wongmylesa These are mid sized sedans! Large sedans are: Maxima, Impala, and Avalon. Honda does not make a large sedan

  • @Jharp82 I'm well aware. The Honda is barely full size. Certain places claim oft be mid. Some claim it to be full. I'm going to classify it as mid considering the fact that it is only a couple inches longer then competitors.

  • @Jharp82 Honda Legend

  • @navveed Honda does not make a large sedan for the U.S. market. If my memory serves me correctly, the Legend is only sold in Japan.

  • @Jharp82 Acura RL. Acura, just a cream and/or prestige league of Honda.

  • That is the reason why they named it Accord because I can tell you after having driven countless number of rental cars that have been abused by customers, the Honda Accord usually survives the beating to go on for resale while others break down. That is a real world test like no other, rental cars that get abused.

  • DAMNNN camry's are fast!!

  • Well just to throw it in here altima is the best, followed by accord, camry, then malibu... thanks

  • Whoa. That means the Camry is quicker than A Mercedes-Benz C300...but the Camry is not as pretty and high quality as the Mercedes-Benz C300. Oh what the heck. They're all good. GO Imports!!

  • its funny how this is a family sedan review and the only thing the american has to say is well are race cars are faster and look nice and blah blah blah shit completely different cars talk family cars or don't comment al your proving is these cars are truly that much better at least talk about the fusion or malibu whatever

  • nissan altima is the best!

  • I feel you nissanaltimaka24de....I have the 08 Altima SE and its fully loaded....My friend has a 2009 Challenger and I dusted her ass!!!!

  • nissan altimas areee the bestttt. i hada 2004 v6 altima and this thing dippped. i got a brand new 2008 altima coupe and it only felt a couple ticks slower the my 2004 v6 altima and icve test drivin the v6 altima coupe by my self took to the freeway. i felt like the fuckingg man in that thing. fuck accords i test drive that. i felt like a chick it looks sooo sissyish aha and its mad slow brakes suck

  • Altima owns all.

If you want a Accord, be ready to replace the tranny.

If you want the Camry, your a granny, and love plain cars.

Malibu, if you want your car in the shop every month.

Nissan Altima is the best. Highest ranked midsized car in initial quality, the best V6 ever VQ35DE, and many more standard features, best in every performance catogory.

  • @nissanaltimaka24de ? THE accord has 1 i repeat 1 extra HP ! accord wins ! The accord goes 0-60 0.1 second faster than your Slowbox cvt v6 ! YAY im awesome !

WHATTTT ? best it in EVERY performance cat ? umm your WAYYY WRONG DUDE !

Maybe Bettr in some but not best at all ! Highest in INITAL quality! haha keyword INITAL ! It wud suprize me if it is tho :D

    Whoa ? FAIL

  • @nissanaltimaka24de

    Altima S L4: Engine 2.5L I-4 175 HP 0-60 in 8.3

    Accord EX L4:Engine2.4L VTEC I-4 190 HP 0-60 in 8.0

    WHOAAA ! lol fail

  • It take 15 more hp to beat it by 1/3 of a second, get an 6 speed and it will wax an Accord ass. Than put a V6 6 speed Altima against a V6 Accord and it will wax it's ass to. Just face it the Altima is better than you Accord.

  • Its not just HP its also weight... Grip... Nd aerodynamics ! the altima is bulk.. Tell me... what makes the altima bettur thn the accord ? i wantzz to knowzz hahaaa

  • Did you not watch the video? They said the Altima is the sportiest, with the best suspension, best steering, and breaking. Also better 0-60 than Accord, and will mop an Accord around a track.

  • Have you ever driven the 2009 accord V6 ? more or less the 09 Altima ? dont lie seriously ! :)

  • Nope never driven an 09 Accord, but my aunt has an 08 Accord V6 that already had the engine replaced due to excessive consumption also had her brakes replaced 3 time in less than 40K, but i did own an 03 Accord V6 that went through two transmissions. And i sure did own a 4th gen Altima, an 07 3.5SE, it was my last lease. I currently lease an 09 G37 sedan, and i've never had any problems with my Nissan's, and no problems yet with my first Infiniti. Have you Ever driven an Nissan Altima?

  • Also Nissan's quality is better than that of the Camry, which is better than the Accord. Nissan won the JD Power award for best quality in a midsized car, better than that of the Camry, and Accord. My winter car which is a 97 Altima, has nearly 300k and still runs strong on all original engine, and transmission, i would drive that thing cross country with plenty of confidence.

  • @nissanaltimaka24de My aunt had a 2007 Altima v6 coupe its nice ! Um Excessive consumption ? what do you mean ? Your aunt sure must love riding her breaks ... Okay honda did have tranny probs BUT they were fixed now weren't they? my accord went thru one as well... The accord has the No1 resale value out of all midsize sedans... Um that means that it obviously must be far more reliable... Maxima came in 2nd Suby legacy came in 3 Camry 4 Fusion 5 and your Altima 6

VTEC Power for Life !!! yay

  • Why would you want to take a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE family sedan to a race track? Try to beat a pedestrian around it? Please leave track days to trck cars.

  • You have never driven an Altima SE, cause it has some one of the best suspensions in it's class, i would know i have owned an 03 V6 Accord and a 07 V6 Altima and the Altima is a far superior car than the Accord.

  • Where in this comment did I critisize your beloved Altima? NOWHERE! I simply stated that you must have a mental dysfunction if you want to take a front wheel drive family sedan to a race track then tout it's performance on the Internet.

  • Well since most cars are FWD, since their better for everyday driving, the Altima has the best handeling for a FWD with no torque steer, and have you ever driven a Altima V6 SE? Prolly not, till you do dont go makeing consecptions about FWD cars.

  • O.K., it seems you persist. For the record, I have driven an Altima V-6, and the things have bucket loads of torque steer, as well as unprecise steering responses and a generally mushy brake pedal that is completely unlinear in it's travel. There. And the majority of motorized vehicles are not in fact front wheel drive, but rather rear or four wheel drive. Learn how to spell. Thanks.

  • Ok thats fine to know. You have ONLY driven the cars, never owned them like i have. I kow i'm right so this is the end of this discussion.

  • No, you're right...I have never owned a Japanese import, and I plan to continue this trend. I have made it a point only to purchase real cars. Thanks.

  • Well since you have never owned a Japanese car, you have never owned a real car than. FYI, America's top 3 selling cars are all Japanese, so that right their show you that Japanese cars are the best.

  • No, the fact that the top three best selling cars happen to be Japanese is no that they're the best...it's just that they are the cheapest. If you want a real driving experience, buy an American sedan/coupe with rear wheel drive and a small block V-8 (Corvette, Mustang, Charger, Viper, G8 GT, etc.) or a 3-series. Thank you.

  • No, it's not cause their cheap, American cars are cheaper than japanese cars, cause they literaly are cheap, made from cheap materials so you get what you pay for. While Japanese cars are built to last, with the best materials, not cheap plastic, and you don't have to service your vehicle every 5k. American cars are goin bankrupt cause no one want to buy one cause the poor quality, am i right or wrong?, cause a sucessfull company will not need BILLIONS in bailout money.

  • O.K., remind me that American cars are cheap when I'm out buying a $9,000 Nissan Versa with no radio, AC, or any other amenities.

  • And the same thing with a ugly ass Chevrolet Aveo, besides i've NEVER sen a Versa with no AC or a radio, and my stepdad use to own a Nissan dealership, and i've yet to see any new Nissan without AC.

  • No? You do know that the Ford F-150 is the best selling car just in general right?

  • Agreed! I own an 07Altima SE. Much better car than the accord

  • my FWD 6-speed V6 Altima consistently beats RWD V8 mustangs on dragstrips so I guess thats why...

  • Oh, let's see...you must be racing the 1986 Mustang with it's 201 horse power V-8, right? Surely not any Mustang made after 1999 with the 260 horse power V-8, because these cars (especially the 2009, 315 hp model) will KILL your car and any others like it. All of these 'Stangs cover the quarter mile in the mid 13 second range at about 103-105 mph. The 2008 Altima with the 270 horsep power V-6 finishes the quarter mile in the mid 14 second range at about 98 mph. Mustang wins. Thanks.

  • I am truely sorry, but your performance figures for both the Altima and the Accord are incorrect. The four cylinder Altima reaches 60 mph from a standing start in 7.3 seconds: the Accord does it in 7.5. I know those aren't the results achieved by the fine folks at Edmunds, but it is obviously apparent that they can't drive cars properly; nearly all of their tests contradict either those done by the manufacturer or other reputable sources.

  • I got these numbers from Consumer report and autos . com... I dont know the altimas numbers off hand but i do know that The accord EX L4 makes 190 hp 0-60 in 7 ! im sorry TYPO on the 1st comment... I know this for a fact !

  • camry ftw

  • My 07 Malibu beats every one of those cars....

  • 1st accord y i sat in both altima and accord the altima is by far more comfortable even in long distance rides and is faster too and altima's interior is better looking than all the cars in the test i wont care if i will spend a bit more for a more stylish car

  • I think the altima is the best

  • I think that the honda is ugly on the interior. Its clumped and not pleasant to the eye in any way. I would get the altima. Great value... plus speed, and features. =)

  • @1paulll That god awful CVT ruins it all !! :( CVT ruined the new Maxima too.

  • If you want the Camry, get the V6 SE model.

If you want the Altima, get a used 05-06 SE-R.

If you want the Accord, get the V6 coupe.

If you want the Malibu, get a brain.

  • 1- Chevy

    2- Nissan

    3- Honda

    4- Toyota

    Enough said!

  • EpiDemic117 = P.O.S.

  • even if i do still

    EpiDemic117 > adogg619

  • i hate how they all kind of look the same

  • UGLY HONDA,,ALTIMA FASTEST,,,

  • ALTIMA FIRST THEN MALIBUE&CAM,

  • Altima FTW

  • my sister has a altima i dove it and it rides good and i am going to get me one

  • nissan ftw

  • I wonder if testing the Camry SE, the sporty version, instead of the XLE, the luxury version, would have made a difference in the testing.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah and you would be the only one.

  • ive been in several new camrys..they are fast smooth fast and quiet

  • i keep the altima camry just looks awful inside

  • i have my toyota camre xle v6... i love it very much... engine is very strong than you ever think of and the VIP experience interior inside, you got all you need and its the top of the line... the expensive one among the class...

  • I meant on the Camry dashboard...

  • I hate that baby-boy room blue weird thing on the dashboard...why not all aluminum or wood?!

  • I agree! It's hideous!

  • the day you buy a camry...your old.

  • ..its not that fast

  • These Cars......

Camry: NEEDS MORE YOUNG DRIVERS, Needs a style update, decent engine

Malibu: Needs Better interior, Needs more sporty exterior, Smooth ride

Accord: Get the coupe!, Could use more sporty rear end, has high class interior

Altima: Always go for the 3.5 V6 engine, Needs comfyer seats, Great suspention and acceleration, Could also use a style update

  • buy a honda

  • if toyota would stop leting old people design their vehicles it wouldnt have lost this comparison.!!

  • NISSAN;S POWER BABY

    240SX OWNER :p

  • @amadito18 nx2000

  • Had

    One

    NEVER

    Drive

    Another!!!

  • Hold

    On

    Not

    Done

    Accelerating

  • eww

  • i dont think the camry is the best car in the market...but i think its worth a look if your interested in a comfortable smooth quiet reliable ride....id choose an accord over it anyday though

  • my friend got the camry for her first car (she's 16) a few months ago and i got to ride in the back. it's comfy, quite, smooth (wow you just said that, lol) and it was all white ( really cute) but over my budget and the interior was nothing to look at. the sound system could be better.

buying a civic, camry, or F-150 would make me following the crowd. the accord is too boring looking. since i have to get a family sedan, i want something unique and reliable. and CUTE.

  • agreed.

  • I like the Chevy Malibu out of them all. The two tone leather is just out of this world. The Camry and Accord both look boring and conservative and the Altima is flat out ugly. However if the Malibu wants to be number one, they are going to have to put in the in dash GPS system. That turn by turn navigation is bull crap. Also why didn't they bring in the new Sonata? It has improved greatly.

  • I think it's odd that the Camry has that much power/acceleration, yet it's main audience seems to be the older generation.

  • Nissan's 4 cylinder may be quick, but it is loud and disturbing. Not what this buyer is looking for. The Malibu is the quietest and best looking.

  • if they would of picked the toyota camry se not xle then toyota would have won all the tests except fancy electronics inside.

  • I chose the Altima for a reason. It's the most fun to drive, has some of the coolest features in the segment, and it's also the SMALLEST car of the group. No wonder it handles the best of the 4 cars. It also has more trunk space than the Accord. The only car that is even in the same league as the Altima is the '09 Mazda6.

  • Although the accord is good i think camry is still better

  • malibu did not make the top 10 in quality from Consumer Reports data for 2008 though

will you blow ur money on a loser company ?

  • Yea well the old accords are OK just ok the new coupes are hot but the altima is a better car all around, if you want performance and looks go for altima, if you want ugly slow and looonng lasting life accord I mean we all know honda are long lasting. altimas are good on miles to i had a 98 that had 90,000 miles on it and it drove better then a accord with less miles on it i know that for a fact because i work on a car lot.

  • screw the altima, the honda accord is a terrific car..hell, even my 1990 accord is a great car even by todays looks, standards, interior quality, and suspension :D

  • WHAT!? Altima should be 1st, its the fastest of the 4, the best looking annnd has more tech then the others. The Accord is ugly and slow and dosent even have tiptronic manual mode. and yeah the c.v.t feels slow but once you brake it in alil its fast. I beat a 04 stang gt NO LIE! umong others that i didnt think i could beat.

  • you apparently havnt drove an accord lol....i have a 1990 accord with 246,000 miles..and it runs like brand new....try to do that with a nissan ;)

  • Pshhh i got a 97 Altima it had 297k on it when it blew up, and it's a hell of a lot faster than and 4Cyl Honda i can bet you ass that!

  • i agree with you!100%

  • nissan altima fo sho

  • Umm My 09 Malibu Has the 6 speed tranny with paddle shifters!!Altima, camry, and accord dont offer that.BTW I also have a 08 hybrid altima.

  • LOL!!!

  • Really? Well, that is something to brag about. I really want some of those. Do you think I could buy some paddle shifters at Pep Boys? Do you know if they make them for older cars with manual transmissions? It might be nice to not have to constantly reach down to the center console to shift. One flick of my wrist and I'm in a higher or lower gear. Amazing, those paddle shifters!

  • Remember the Altima is the only one that you can get with a stick and a V-6, any true sports oriented car needs to have the choice of a standard tranny, and the Altima delivers. If the Altima in this test was a 6-SPD none of these cars would have been able to keep up.

  • XLE camry but SE Altima?

  • I wouldn't have second thoughts about driving ANY of these cars; they're all decent choices.

  • WAIT A SECOND gif430 dont say the Malibu has no history to prove reliability.. LEt me tell YOU something the Chevrolet Malibu was named car of the year in 1997 and car of the year for 2008. my older malibu has never given me an problems. With proper care the chevy is more reliable than a camry. plus back then the malibu had more standard horsepower than the cam and accord. So, Be careful at what yo type.

  • So what? The Accord has been on Car and Driver's 10 best for 22 years, and the Camry was on that list in 1997. Every 1997 Malibu I see looks like shit now compared to a camry or accord of that age. Its a good car brand new but it'll look like crap real quick

  • Not to mention..., the Chevy Malibu from the 60s and, 70s with, those bigblock and, smallblock V8s baby! They can't compare the H. Accord's and, the T. Camry's history NO WHERE NEAR the Chevy Malibus. ;-)

  • Those other vehicles don't even come with optional chrome wheels like the Chevy Malibu does...but, he couldn't mention that, huh?

  • Test drove all these cars and bought the new Accord. Camry-little head room, boring in every aspect. Altima-CVT makes car "feel" slow, interior layout is plain and feels cheap. Chevy-No history to prove reliability. The Accord isn't very fun to drive, but since I commute an hour daily, I praise the smooth 5-speed auto, plenty of passing power, awesome reliable history, interior layout, a ride that proves to be comfortable, yet keeps you in-touch with the road, and tons of head room, leg room etc

  • Ever since the new gen. Chevy Malibus been made..., I never heard of any problems from them!

  • Either or, the resale value on the Chevy won't be as high as any of the others...

  • Yeah..., that's true...but, you probaly won't get rid of the Chevy, anyways! ;-)

  • yeah, for that reason

  • I hear that...but, that's only because it's a domestic vehicle. America helps the foreign market out by praising their vehicles when actually..., they're ain't worth didley!

  • altima all the way, love the new interior, and new front and tail lights, it has a sporty feel to it when im driving

  • camry is still the best car i just bought one 2008 se v6 and its smooth and my brother has a 2008 altimia se v6 and when he drove my camry he said the power just keeps coming even when u go up a gear its still the same power but with the altima he says u lose power with ever gear u go up and then he went up 2 110 mph/210kmh on the highway with truns and cars and he said it has better blance then the atima and speed and handling so camry the best
