Great video! Very detailed and informative. You showed me how easy it is to replace my burner and saved me from having to buy a new BBQ. Thank you so much!
My problem is poor combustion. I'm getting a big, yellow flame which doesn't produce much heat, but leaves a smokey residue on the meat.
The grill is quite old, and I've repaired the parts several times. The latest was at the earliest , this season (Summer, 2010). The "new" burner seems to be ok.

@246zxc12 Yellow flames are normally caused by too much air in the mix. Have you checked / replaced the vales on your barbeque? The regulator valve or mixing valve may be worn out.
@ashjedi Some of the venturi tubes are just a pressure fit. As long as they are pressed over the gas lines you'll be fine. Check them once a month during the barbeque season to make sure they are still in place. This is a good idea even for the ones with the wire.

@lmd6204 Thanks a lot!
My replacement burner doesn't have any wires on the venturi tubes though...
How can I secure the venturi tubes?
Thanks!
