The number of people with no model flying experience, who then spend good money on a model, take it to a local field and then wreck it in a few seconds saddens me.These models might just be small foamies, but what people don't realise is that they are not good training machines. Speaking as a model flyer of over 30 years experience of various types, I can find these little models a challege, so it's not surprising there's so many clips of dad and the kids destroying them on youtube.

@Beamshipcaptain Have to disagree. Correct technique = good launch, correct technique comes from experience that is going to be difficult to get with these models. I really wish they wouldn't sell these models as easy to fly; they're not for the beginner.

u cant launch a plane at 100% FULL power it will just go into a spin and crach land you need to launch at 30-40% power and let it stablize allite and the kick it into max.

Next time dont run just stand still and think about putting it in the air .. planes dont fly when you throw them .. but it is a good way to launch.. hope you had better luck on subsequent tries

What you could also do is launch her "under arm", I do this with my BAE Hawk.

the angle of attack that the airplane had was very hard. Therefore it was highly unstable because air around it was not even with the direction of it's wings. Resulting in a random direction flight, which led to a quite disappointing crash... Just thought i might criticize your video real fast.
