wow this is a very good idea! I love my mica powders for my make up. I just never thought to put it with my clay. haha. Well thank you very much for the video. You seem like a very nice person btw!
@AlexJensen lol, I made one that's a huge circle (huge to me, anyway!) I never measured, but its around 2" across. I could make you one, if you'd like, or find something even larger to mold from.
Thanks for the tutorial! When you use mica powders inside the clay, you can twist the clay several times, which makes the mica powders go in different directions. Then you roll it in a ball and you will see more swirls too. At least that is my experience. I'm just getting back into polymer clay again. Thanks again!---leslie
you're GENIUS! Your cabochon are amazingly wonderful with glitter, I love glitter everywhere :-D I bought pearl-ex pigments, and I think you had a great idea because these pigments look like eye-shadows powders ^___^ And thanks thanks thanks for linkng my channel :-* Happy new year!!!
Happy New Years to you and yours my friend and thank you so much for this tutorial, I had seen sum marble looking cabs and wanted to know how they were made and you made my day :))
You know if you use a dry paintbrush to apply your mica, you will have much better control over how much you put into your clay.

@Lazybabyz Cool!

Ive used eyeshawdow on polymer clay. It works great and its cheaper than buying mica powder.
Lazybabyz 8 months ago
@Lazybabyz Really? I want to buy shadows where you do! Each little bag of mica I bought for 1.50 would fill several shadow tins.

Do you sell molds? I can't find one big enough to make just a giant focal pendant and I'd rather buy some instead of making them >.<

@tsummerlee How much would it be? Unless you have an etsy shop?
AlexJensen 9 months ago
@AlexJensen If you're in the continuous U.S., 5.00 with shipping. Yes, I have an Etsy shop that's terribly neglected, but I can still use it.

do all eyeshadows have mica powder in it
AGWebkinzz 11 months ago
@AGWebkinzz You'll have to ask someone more familiar with the cosmetic industry. All of the shiny shadows seem to contain mica, however.
