  • Working 5 blocks away from Trinity at the time, and visiting it many times after 09.11.2001, they did indeed have dust and other airborn debris, but the windows were not blown in.

  • You neglected to point out that what they have now is actually a fake organ, or an organ substitute (sometimes call an appliance or a toaster). Being penny wise and pound foolish, the brilliant committee there has decided that they would prefer to buy a new phony organ every twenty years, rather than a real one they can take care of and keep. Nice fiscal responsibility. (My favorite quote is from a former Rodgers dealer: "Electronic organs are for churches who are not interested in music".)

  • You're right, it is digital and electric, albeit those are the stats I found. That quote is so true by the way!

  • TOTALY agree with the quote!!!

  • PLUS...I just heard about a church which spent $250,000 on a Rodgers. If the organ lasts 25 years (fairly old for an electronic, and CERTAINLY most of the way through its life), then they spent $10,000 PER YEAR on it. Is this smart?! Thanks for the reply!

  • Lovely. Please post more.
