  • whites in florida should not be responsible for the actions their grandmothers/fathers did

choices they made in the state of fla. from the 80's and past we dont need a repeat in history ALL over again--thats why the race card is being played we are in the south (to all the northerners) its RACE thats causing this backlash IM SORRY for whites that are under 30 who arent originally orlandoans- like someone walking in a room not understanding whats REALLY go'g on AND MS KAT TOLD IT!

  • She took what was supposed to be community concerns about the school closings, and turned it into a race issue for HER. She's upset that HER children were segregated in the 70's and 80's. They're grown now, and she's still making this about HER. I'm sure she's a good teacher, but the community did not deserve her racist, hateful attitude and her verbal and physical abuse. Make her apologize and be held accountable or fire her now!

  • I don't know all the background BUT I do know that Kat is speaking from the heart and that she is concerned about the children!

  • I don't know where the racial uproar is, hey I was going to teach myself. What she says is basically what was taught in "Teaching Diverse Populations" BTW I'm white.

  • look, i understand Kat Gordon. She has seen this problem from the 1960s and has not seen any change in this pattern.

as an award-winning teacher, having taught for 40 years, even before some of those teachers were born, she probably is a better teacher than all those teachers. that's good cause to listen to her.

She is not a racist woman. she speaks the truth: segragation still exists, and she is furious that nothing is done to change it.

  • Yep, it's all about race.
