I won´t not argue either, but the fact that Neapolitan and Italian are not mutually intelligible is stated by professional linguist, not by me. The only way that you can understand this song is if you have familiarity with the Neapolitan Language, which means that you were taught a mix of the two languages, and you were not aware of it. I speak Spanish, but if I go to Buenos Aires to the downtrodden areas I wouldn´t understand anything.
