@JamesPriceJohnson Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. New German hammers properly voiced, and home made dampers. The piano ain't bad either -- a 1925 Hallet & Davis. The bass strings are new. The piano never once snapped a string. The sound board is special. It is extremely resonant and emphasizes the bass range, and it is intact (no cracks).
i hate you XD my player stopped working the other day, i think i removed a piece i wasnt suposed to. is this restored? and how much did german hammers cost, and how much are new bass strings?
@JamesPriceJohnson Sorry, it's been a year. I guess I should reply to your questions after all. Never, ever remove a part from a player piano if you aren't sure! Take the wrong part out and it just stops--like too many straws on the camel's back! Anyway, the german hammers cost about $1K. Took me about a year to save for them. New bass strings were also about $1K. These things are money pits--but in the end I think they are worth it, musically; but don't ever expect to recoup what is spent.
@chem100 lol. i did get it working again, i hadn't screwed on the front of the player mechanism tight enough. Anyways, i am currently restoring the piano right now. I will wait until i get enough money to get new strings soundboard, new hammers, etc done professionaly. I am doing the piano action, case, etc myself, and hopefully will be able to restore the player mechanism.
I sing this song (or type it) to the girl i love whenever she is sad
Beautiful brown eyes<3

why is it not moving?

It is a still image of the piano. I haven't graduated to the technical skill need for sound and motion picture recording.

every time i hear this player, it sounds different

I assure you, it is the same player piano. I recorded it over a series of years (primarily from about 1998 to 2003) and this is the result.
