Thundercats New Series Premiere Review *Spoilers*

Hey GayComicGeek. What do you think of the new Thundercats' opening theme? In my opinion it's not really an opening, it's just 7 seconds of instrumental and thundercats-logo :( Maybe they hold the real opening back for a later surprise?!

Yea the new series is awesome! I'm really loving it so far, the action sequences and amount of care put into the backstory are my favorite parts so far.

What I watch on Fridays:Young Justice, Thundercats, Ben 10:Ultimate Alien.

I never really saw Thundercats growing up.I think I watched it for the first time a couple of weekends ago when a marathon was.I loved it and I love the remake.I thought the original Lion-O was hot.I love beefy guys.The new Lion-O isn't as beefy, being a teenager, but I like his personality....and his voice.It sounds like Jason Marsden.I can't wait until the next episode.

I think that this Cheetara is a less sexy than the original one. Ok, this looks badassest (that word exists?), but the original was more like a adult, confident and sexy woman (look a lot older than Lion-O).

A like the no-saints aspect of the thunderian, looking down the other race. Why they aren't mutants like the others?

just wondering where exactly was this aired? in what channel? Cartoon Network,Nickelodion,Disney or another channel? sorry for the dumb question lol but i haven't had Direct TV for like a year or 2 and the local channels doesn't really show anything worth watching :/

Hopefully Pantro isn't actually dead, cause they need at least one darker skin/fur character that isn't a thug, traitor, or villain. That is *such* a pet peeve of mine. The Disney tradition, where not only do the villains where dark clothes, they also tend have dark hair and darker skin.

Very good review. You seem to like the very coolest things about the new version. I think it's just thoroughly amazing.

I was VERY hesitant to watch this new incarnation because of the animation style, but gave it a try anyway. Your review was SPOT ON!  While it will never replace the original, it definitely will be a hit in is own right with darker and more adult story lines.

I think they made it clear that SNARF wouldn't be talking in the first scene to keep purists like me watching. While he still bugs, like a pesky Pokeman (Snarfachu), he's so much more tolerable.

I just watched this today and it was indeed full of awesome! The thing about Mumm-Ra saying the Eye of Thundera belonging to him once was intriguing, though if you will recall, he has a tendency to lie. We don't know that he was being truthful then. I too liked how the ThunderCats society was proud and noble, but also arrogant and prone to hubris. That makes the conflict between them and the lizard men more interesting. One nitpicky thing I have is Slythe's new design. Still, awesome show.

@Rikun1 My thought was that the Eye of Thundera was taken from Mumm-Ra to stop him from doing evil at some point. Rather than destroying the stone's power, they put a spell on it to keep evil from using it and it eventually end up in a sword.

The show is fucking awesome it was like being a kid again I hope to see this series last longer than The Masters of the Universe series all I have to say is Thunder-Thunder-Thunder Thundercats HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! just like the 80's

The non-warriors went into an underground sanctuary. They probably were not captured. They will be on the run and need guarding. Kind of like the humans on TNT's Falling Skys.
