kinda they both make the picture wider but a fisheye creates more barrel distortion (on the edge of the video everything is curved.) if ur skating just get a fisheye not a wide angle

this is to everyone figuring out what you need to add this fisheye. i bought the same kenko fisheye, but bought a 27-27mm step-up ring. it didn't fit and was too small on the 27mm side, even though the JVC cam says the filter is 27mm. you need to buy a 30.5mm-37mm ring in order for this to fit. buy it on ebay.
