no way was that fish dead! not only was his tail moving, he was still breathing! I know they're dumb as hell but they still feel pain. Maybe whack it with something a little heftier next time...
I've built my prototype in the house, with goldfish, and have tomato seedlings going for transplanting out in March (I live in Houston, TX). I intend to build a raceway for the fish in my greenhouse, probably 3x3x10' and then build grow beds and other growing systems for the one tank to support. Once built I'll order my talapia. I've seen what I think is a good deal for some on Ebay. Where did you get yours?

I was thinking though, do you think there is any way to recycled the rest of the fish? I've heard that commercial fish meal is made from some trash fish out of the ocean, but could you just process your talapia carcasses? I haven't looked into it, but I just had the thought, watching you fillet this one.
