I read the case was closed because the U.S. Justice department didn't think there was any criminality on anyones' part. He messed up, poor guy. who knows, he might have got the prescription drugs anywhere - he just got back from Europe - he might have got them from his girlfriend Michelle Williams, he moght have got them on the street, he might have got them from the freakin bellman at his apartment. Actually, I got EVERYTHING right. I'm speaking from the known facts, JSC, not from that "emotional opinion" you correctly referred to. The NYPD, the U.S. Justice Department, and the Coroner's office all made independent investigations and all came to the same conclusion - accident. We also know there was no evidence of Ms. Olsen giving him drugs, and we know the police never accused her of doing so.

The police and Coroner's report states he was deceased by 1:20 pm, the time the masseuse arrived at his apt. So even had she called 911, the outcome would have been the same.
I agree, it's upsetting to see him go. He was a wonderful actor and seemed like a very sweet guy. But hopefully his death will teach people about dangers of prescription drugs. In that way he'll save maybe thousands of others. A worthy legacy for a truly cool guy.

I read the case was closed because the U.S. Justice department didn't think there was any criminality on anyones' part. Wrong. The police did interview Mary-Kate Olsen, they interviewed everybody in this case. And they concluded no one committed any wrongdoing.
So they closed the case.

Germanicus N.Y. PD did interview EVERYONE associated with Heath Including Mary Kate However she hasn't been cleared by the DEA.

Actually she had been cleared by the DEA. The DEA is part of the U.S. Justice Department, which dropped the investigation.

Well, since you want to know, velvetlillies, The British Daily Mail reported Heath had a reputation for drug uge, including an interview with model Naomi Campbell who said he asked her for cocaine.
And msn news reported that in a video Ledger is heard to say: "I used to smoke five joints a day for 20 years."
"I'm gonna get so much s**t from my girlfriend," he says, referring to Michelle Williams, his partner at the time.

Yeah, I read about that too, they were going to show the video on tv but he died before they did and they decided not to. but why is velvetlillies even asking about it? LOL, it's all over. He died cause he made a mistake mixing prescription drugs. It's over.
