Mnay Japanese people are either unaware that taijutsu is part of ninpo, which probably has a great deal to do with the predominant misconception surrounding the history of the ninja, or being aware, they seek to avoid the issue and delude themselves, since ninja were historically considered to be of the lowest class of people in Japan, sub-human by some standards.

In any fight, primarily I would run, but if cornered I'm quite confident I could fend off an attack (assuming my assailants are just neds and thugs with no proper training) of at least 2 or 3 people and manage to stay on my feet, If they had been trained on the other hand I could probably survive an attack of one or two depending on skill level.

the art in this video isn't ninjutsu.
way back in the 50's takamatsu was frustrated no young people wanted to learn kukishin ryu that he had learned, kodokan judo was VERY popular.
so he sought to increase the curriculum by adding kata from 'karate todejutsu' (since shortend to karate).
now he had a kukishin karate hybrid, and he started refering to it as ninpo.
kukishin ryu was not pleased. so he made up Toda Shinryuken teaching him togakure ryu as a kid...

In any fight, primarily I would run, but if cornered I'm quite confident I could fend off an attack (assuming my assailants are just neds and thugs with no proper training) of at least 2 or 3 people and manage to stay on my feet, If they had been trained on the other hand I could probably survive an attack of one or two depending on skill level.

and when you did, you were correct, it isn't right to say that ninjutsu includes taijutsu(meaning the ninpo/budo taijutsu of the x-kans) .
there is no evidence that ninjutsu is or includes martial arts, and furthermore, no evidence for the claims of the bujinkan including ninjutsu in any fashion more complete than what can be learned from the documents available at the time.

MultiMartialArts (mma) championships never do involve hidden blades nor poisons, nor trucks trying to flat you out nor guns. Ninjutsu DOES involve all of them. And much more.

Alright the truth is that shinobi(ninja) are the most skilled and deadliest warrior there is. If if were not for cheap guns they would be top by A LOT. This is because they don't focus on not just muscle but their mind too(enegry or chi)

p.s Martail arts isnt a sport, M.A is a teaching that helps you survive against freaks, so dont confuse it, just wanted to make tht clear, sport invovles fun, Martail arts invovles danger/pain/some fun/possiablitys of hurting yourself..... badly if your reckless and military like-ish training for civilians,..... i hate people who call it a sport, because its not dumass's

How about trying to do some more research? How is this no Taijutsu? Taijutsu means body art. Ninjutsu is a collection of skills utilized by the ninja. So are you saying that this is Ninjutsu ITSELF? Nothing more, nothing less? You watch too much Naruto.

just an observation. Who in hell throws a haymaker punch and steps forward with the rear leg when following it through.
their stance would remain. making mostof these techniques useless.

Ive studied jujitsu for 5 years, aswell as MMA, and ive never seen anyone step forward before throwing a haymaker.
My brother in law is a bouncer, and streetfighter hes never done this.
To tell the truth no real fighter who knows what they are doig will step forward with the rear leg in throwing a haymaker.
The power comes from pushing off the rear leg and rotating the hips, while hooking the rear arm.
No rear leg, no power ... simple.

this is true, boxers are bar none the best punchers in the sports world, and its easy to see they plant their feet when they punch. Mind you maybe there are some techniques which can utilize the movement effectivly, but with all do respect, as this video shows, it opens you up and makes you lose balance.....so dont do it.

The operative being sport. This particular fighting method, is not intended for sport and despite the effectiveness and skill of a boxer, which I will neither argue for or against, the above video demonstrated not only a block and attack, of the striking, but an attack aimed at the legs of the of the aggressor, which, unfortunately for the boxer, who may not be trained to defend against trunk attacks, would be the deciding factor, if the boxer, was just a boxer.

That Stance is just the "Idea", not what u really do in a Fight. The idea is to be 60/40 wheight, being able for "escape" "evade", and counter atack, just an idea, in bujinkan we have a lot of stances, Jumonji no Kamae is what u do in ur MMA, for face to face combat. Sorry for my english

I know the stances for the bujinkan, as we adopt them in traditional jujitsu.
In MMA, the stance is vaguely similar to Jumonji no Kamae, and in that comment i am being generous.
But any martial Art can state that new modern arts are based on their stance system, it doesnt mean its true.
IE: The MMA leg kick block with the shin.
would that be from Muay Thai, i think so.
Bujinkan may say it is the Hicho no kamae stance.

i didnt see any haymakers in this video, all i saw was sum straight punch, like a jab, but evne then its for training purposes, in aikido, they throw sum fake ass karate punch, where they step forward, and cuz i did karate b4, i was thinkin this is messed up ¬¬ lol but its just to help the other person, who prob a beginner perform the move correct, as u advance u forget about stances and become free flowing, Gichin Funakoshi even said that in a book of his

You are correct. You saw no haymakers in this video, because there were none. The punch was a vertical fist cross and in was thrown with a rear leg advance, because there is far more power in it, since it utlizes the power of the hips.

YAY!!! :D i iz a ninja lol i thought so, haymakers need full rotation thats why u dnt move the leg forward, but this one is similar to punchs in get in kung fu, mainly cuz alot of ninja stuff are chinese infulenced - The More You Know ^-^ (haha im english so i dnt kno wat that is, i just love family guy)

it is japanese and older, (budo just means martial arts anyways), but i guess u mean koryu budo not gendai budo (which is modern martial arts like karate, and judo), and yeh all the weapon skills in ninjutsu are japanese and mainly from different weapon schools through out japan, but i ment like the unarmed combat side, pressure points and joint locks mainly, since Chinese Chin Na has been credited to have help the development of jujutsu/taijutsu ^-^

just to follow up on convo below, i think plenty of people, fighters, thugs, gangbangers, and regular good ol samaritans these days knows some form of MMA, also, thugs, robbers etc, just look how popular UFC is, MMA training is open and available to everyone, like jelly said below, better to assume the worst in the confrontation, your opponent might not know karate, but he might know crazy

Regarding Muay thai/Muay Boran leg kicks; said low stances kept weight on the back leg; a strong kick will thus move, not snap, your leg. And weight transfer between legs is the 1st thing you learn.

your right.Not every guy on the street is an incompetent fighter,just the majority.I'm speaking about thugs and gangbangers,they don't fight well or have any skill at all,those are the people who try to rob you.I don't think a great or even a good martial artist is out there robbing people or assaulting anonymous ones.I'm a Chicago resident so this is from my personal experience.
