  • is..that a..mandolin in a..tuba..??

  • I'm upgrading from a Fender to a Gold Tone OB-250 in a few days and I'm so excited i could spit bullets.

  • Such a melodic sound! What is yoiur favorite brand of Banjo? I am looking a buying one, am a beginner but dont want a plonky sound, like the one you rjust playing! Thanks

  • LOVE THE TONE OF THE BANJO .. THE PLAYING IS GREAT TOO.. THANKS

  • dude you are awesome

  • Nice job! I love the sound of that banjo. Thanks.

  • Where was the DEERING entry in that lot? I would have loved to hear a GDL or Golden Era in comparison to the OB-250 and RB-75.

  • The sound of the banjo brings such joy to my heart. :D

Keep on pickin'! From a fellow banjo player.

  • very nice tone!

  • Gold tone and recording king are my favorites they play real nice and for a lot less than a gibson, ome, or a crafters of tennessee banjo.

  • You make them all sound good. I think I like the Earl Scrugg's best from the ones you tested. Have you reviewed the Recording Kings...I have the RK-80 and am very happy with it.

  • You are right, heinzdziurowitz: the Golden Deluxe is a very good tone, and is brighter with the same growl as the others. I know a guy who owns one and his is just fabulous. Keep saving and picking, because that is one fine banjo hope for!

  • fine picken!!

  • I liked the Crafters and the Gold Tone the best.

  • Sounds nice.

  • How do you think the FB-58 and the OB 250 compare quality and tone wise? I've never been able to play the two side by side, but my impression was a little more detail is put into the fit and finish of a Goldtone, but tone wise the FB-58 and the OB-250 were on equal ground. When I was looking at buying an OB-250, they were nearly twice the price, so I opted for the Fender. I had to have some setup work done and few pieces replaced, but I am very happy with the 58. Great pickin'.
