@branjen0723 Actually that's precisely what we do ... we measure length and girth and submit a photo with us, the fish, and this year's control item. Don't be so quick to judge junior! We don't believe in live transport contests. Releasing a healthy fish is top priority.

Dtro (the guy in the video) is the guy who started it all ... we measure length and girth of the fish and take a picture with a control item (sheet of paper with this year's KOTC logo on it) and submit it to the site ... check out the galleries ... some nice fish entered!!

@nsnutter a flatheads lower jaw protrudes farther than its upper lip, a bullheads upper jaw extends farther than its lower jaw. a bullhead has a square tail, and a flathead has a forked tail. bullheads are roaming scavenging opportunistic feeders, flatheads are territorial predators. depending on species bullheads can be yellow brown gray white or black flatheads are mottled yellowish brown.

@jmialma09 Flatheads and Blues are almost everywhere channels are, the trick to catching the big ones is using live bait, like minnows, goldfish, or perch. I don't know what a bullhead is but apparently they work too. I've caught all 3 species of fish off of chicken liver. The biggest ones prefer to hunt rather than scavange.
