@GuGtheone Wrong. flatheads do not have forked tails, bullhead do not have an overbite, unless you personally are catching deformed mutants. and when the fuck did i ever say a word about the habits of each? i merely referred to physical characteristics and clearly stressed the size difference. by the way sweetheart - i have caught flathead ranging from black to olive green to brown to mustard yellow. go away TROLL. thanks for trying to sound smart.
@branjen0723 Actually that's precisely what we do ... we measure length and girth and submit a photo with us, the fish, and this year's control item. Don't be so quick to judge junior! We don't believe in live transport contests. Releasing a healthy fish is top priority.
@branjen0723 wow, i guess its wrong for me to ask a question? and they put them back and there in a tournement. so why dont you just keep your mouth shut?
@lukedukee1 Check out king of the cats on google search ... it's a tourney that we fish up here in MN. Dtro (the guy in the video) is the guy who started it all ... we measure length and girth of the fish and take a picture with a control item (sheet of paper with this year's KOTC logo on it) and submit it to the site ... check out the galleries ... some nice fish entered!!
@mross060700 Clearly you have never seen a bullhead or a flathead - perhaps both. They look nearly identical, flatheads are just much larger. Thanks for trying to sound intelligent though.
@nsnutter a flatheads lower jaw protrudes farther than its upper lip, a bullheads upper jaw extends farther than its lower jaw. a bullhead has a square tail, and a flathead has a forked tail. bullheads are roaming scavenging opportunistic feeders, flatheads are territorial predators. depending on species bullheads can be yellow brown gray white or black flatheads are mottled yellowish brown.
@nsnutter furthermore, bullheads rarely break 1 pound, flatheads regularly break 50 pound. The only thing these two fish have in common is the fact that they are catfish, but thanks for trying to sound smart--troll.
can flatheads be caught anywhere pretty much cuz the only things i ever catch are channels.and i wanna step it up and catch sum big ones, what types of places to fish?
@jmialma09 Flatheads and Blues are almost everywhere channels are, the trick to catching the big ones is using live bait, like minnows, goldfish, or perch. I don't know what a bullhead is but apparently they work too. I've caught all 3 species of fish off of chicken liver. The biggest ones prefer to hunt rather than scavange.
@murphdawg40 Sounds like a mudcat, is that the same thing? I noticed the last time i caught one it had a massive head and a small body, i could see how someone could call them bullheads.
man bullheads in my opinion are the best bait to use for huge cats. i caught a 56 pound blue on one, man that was a fun fighht! nice video, i watched almost all of them.
got to be carefull with the hook sets. i was fishing down at point lookout and i cought a shark and while i did a hook set it did a head shake and literl knocked me down. turns out it was a 63 lb bull shark... had a broken tooth from the boardwalk. >.<...
@calebburnette621 dude fuck off. people fish for fun your probly one of those fags that you see with a soda bottle and 10 lb test line and loosing ever catfish you catch.
Nice Cats. You guys should go out to Belle Plaine where the river separates and bends. Thats where I got my 34 lb flatcat w/8 lb line and a ultra light uglystick.
i saw the other video of you guys and it seems like you had a great day of fishing. the other cat was waaaaay bigger. but still not gonna take anything away from this cat. great catch guys.
