Resisting arrest isn't a charge unless they have a reason to put you under arrest, otherwise it's unlawful detention. J-walking is not an arrestable offense. This is a cop abusing his power. Also, the video starts with the cop with his hands around her neck. Why was he doing that? Chances are if he was following the letter of the law, there never would have been a problem.
Last J-walking ticket i got was thrown out by the judge, and the officer was scolded for wasting the court's time.

Resisting arrest isn't a charge unless they have a reason to put you under arrest, otherwise it's unlawful detention. J-walking is not an arrestable offense. This is a cop abusing his power. Also, the video starts with the cop with his hands around her neck. Why was he doing that? Chances are if he was following the letter of the law, there never would have been a problem.
Last J-walking ticket i got was thrown out by the judge, and the officer was scolded for wasting the court's time.

As much as I hate power-drunk police officers, I understand where the officer in this situation was coming from. The women were getting violent with him, he attempted to keep his cool. People were shouting at him and stirring around, I'm sure that he must have started to feel a sense of panic. Possible use of excessive force? Sure, but I understand why he did it.

The problem here is we don't see what started all this. If we go only on what we see then right off the bat she is disorderly. So he has every right to arrest her for disorderly conduct. When he started to do that she resisted at the start. The other one interfered with the arrest which is why he went to arrest her, and she also resisted her arrest.
