I was watching NoES 3 and there one scene where a character deserved to get killed by Freddy. It was Kid who played Dungeons & Dragons and was a wizard in his dream. He zapped Freddy with some lightning and had him pined---now instead of running away, the kid ran up to Freddy and got killed....I was like:

"You F'ing idiot...!"

Still Nightmare on Elm Street is still my favorite horror series.

Your right about this game. It's NOT a bad game. I had a fun when I played this game. It's a little weird as an Nightmare on Elm Street themed game. It's more like a kid's version of the francise.

Liked this game as an fan of the movies. Only thing I didn't like was Freddy in this game. He didn't feel like dangerous at all. Disapointing.

now i look at it... it looks like a decent sidescroller which also looks like a good challenge i don't understand why AVGN went "Fuck This game it sucks"

I don't know man, I think NOES was not a good game, particularly since it had enemies not based on the movie, which of course LJN is notorious for *cough*BacktotheFuture*cough*

@Ashkihyena Also, the reason that you can't access those abilities in the main game is that because you're awake, those deals you collect are dream powers, much like in movie 3, The Dream Warriors, which is why you can only access them while asleep.

Friday the 13th is a good game however I feel this game is better and one of the things Freddy actually has over Jason.

I had only been able to get up to Freddy's house, but man I loved this game.

BTW, they drew from several parts of Elm St 3. Freddy was buried in a junkyard at the end of #3, and resurrected himself from there at the start of #4. The Freddy-snake was in 3, and the Acrobat and Wizard were Kristen and Will's dream powers, respectively. You could probably make a case for the Ninja being Rick's martial arts skill from #4. Also, the syringes involved Taryn's death in #3, when Freddy made her OD.
