  • The G35 does not use your on-board sound card at all for input and output. Connects via USB and requires Windows drivers to be installed for special effects and virtual surround sound. Sounds like it might be just what you need.

  • Would the microphone work well with an on-board sound card in Windows 7? I've bought a couple of microphones recently and they're extremely quiet, and everyone says it's my on-board sound card that's the problem.

  • I love the G35 headset for watching movies. The virtual surround sound works pretty good, the base is outstanding. They are a little heavy but comfortable. They have noise cancellation so when I'm watching a movie, I hear nothing else.

  • How well do these work for movies?

  • does it have surround sound on cs1.6?

  • But... will it blend?

  • Dumb question but aiming the surround sound button down turns it off or on?

  • @JLeeSolo - Down = on. There is a small icon / logo that points you to the on position for the surround sound. Thanks for posting!

  • @webzcom Thanks! andd another question. When it's off is it in mono or stereo?

  • does wark on ubuntu ?

  • On the Mac: * System Preferences * Sound * Output (Input) * Choose G35 manually

  • I buy it for my Mac

    I Love this Headset!

  • Hey dude, i really appreciate if you asnwer my question!!

That works in PS3? or in television? Both of them have USB entrance..

And, the Micro is good? have good Quality?

Sorry , my english isn't good....

  • @nobody3151 Does not work with a PS3. I don't know about TV, but my guess is also no. From other reviews I've read/heard, the mic is excellent.

  • does it work for wii

  • @ak47hotdog - No, sorry I don't think so... it is USB only.

  • @webzcom the wii has usb ports O.O

  • @monekeyhead - Just hooked the G35 up to my Wii and no sound. Sorry.

  • @monekeyhead Omfg wii fag. It wont work because sound is passed through the AV cables. Same with xbox and ps3... Except Xbox and PS3 are better then the Wii.

  • @RKDisDumb first xbox and ps3 has better teach then wii OFC but his agument for saying it would not work was srry i don't think so its usb only i just told him the wii has usb ports

and wtf who cares about what consol that is the better one O.O

  • @monekeyhead Wii's shit

  • @RKDisDumb indeed, one thng i like zelda games :P

  • @webzcom you can use the ''tritton ax180 headset''

  • how turn off surround sound?

  • @TheHaloskulls - There is a small switch on the left back side (same side as the microphone) that will let you turn off the surround sound.

  • @webzcom i found it out before. but thanks anyways!

  • @TheHaloskulls

There's a switch on the side of the headset where you can put surround sound on and off

  • @JohnnyBoo11 - the G35 does work with the MAC however, there are no drivers for the surround sound so what you get is just basic stereo.

  • It worked on my PS3 :D

  • @BrokenNeckProduction how did you get them to work on your ps3? i want the g930 witch is closely resembles these.

  • @Wabisuke05 U only hear other peoples talking, not the game audio :(

  • @BrokenNeckProduction so this headset does work for a ps3? did you have any problems setting it up?

  • @akaGiNX Yeah. But u can't hear the game audio. It's easy to set it up :) Accesory Settings and Audio Device Settings.

  • does it work whit ps3?

  • does work whit ps3?

  • @ThaBasB1 In general, connecting s usb headset should work fine. Sony's own, new headset connects via usb. This doesnt work though, as saidnin the video...

  • does this shit work on the xbox 360,

    fuck ps3

  • @iiGOinHD no

  • @iiGOinHD Why fuck ps3? better console :P

  • @Satfgk do you know how to connect a usb headphone with the playstation 3?

  • dose this work on ps3

  • @lilstavs no

  • <3

  • There or the Tritton AX 180?

  • it works with mac, you just cant program the g keys, there left as pause/play,next and previous, and the volume works, and it suports 7.1, i have it and im picky with my sound, so i know

  • wtf? I did not know these won't work for a ps3. thanks bringing that up!

  • Mkay do not work at the ps3 or xbox 360 :(

  • Do they work on Windows 7??

  • did it run on win7 ? :D

  • OMG IT WORKS! a friend have it and it wored on my ps3!

  • Comment removed

  • @DoeNietBlij - I purchased 3 USB audio cards and still was not able to get audio out via USB.

  • @webzcom Is it possible to hear stereo sounds with the ps3 plugged into the tv and a cheap stereo pc headset to the tv? only for stereo sound?or dont you get stereo sound with pc headset with cable plugged into the tv?

Sorry for my bad English, hopefuly you can understand me

  • do these sit on your ear or go around them?

  • Will it run on Windows Vista?

  • Does anyone know if Counter-Strike Source is surround sound compatible or not? I just got the G35 today and tried it out in CS:S, but the surround sound effect wasn't there... Maybe I have an old PC but it is only ependant on drivers

  • @Deathmetalr0x u must set the audio settings in css to 7.1

  • is it 7.1 surround sound

  • @ipodGUY133 - It is virtual surround sound. To get the full effect, you must be using it on a windows pc with the G35 drivers installed and be running a game that supports it.

  • @webzcom Supports 7.1 or the logitech drivers?

  • @webzcom What is VIRTUAL surround sound

  • @RuBiKzCubE1 - The are articles out there on it. How Stuff Works has one and so does WikiPedia. YouTube won't let me link to them here.

  • @webzcom thx man!

  • who DOESNT have usb2??? lol

  • can i sound whore with this?

  • it is compatible with ps3

  • What the difference between Logitech G35 Surround Sound Headset

And the Logitech Gaming Headset G930?

  • @ChipmuckNations G930 is wireless

  • Is it compatible with a Mac? Because this video is from december 2009, so maybe Logitech did add support.

  • @Timmie44 - A correction to my video. The G35 is compatible with the MAC. However, there is no surround sound, just standard stereo.

  • @webzcom Ah, ok. So Logitech is too damn lazy too add decent support for Macs.

  • @Timmie44 no just macs suck and the world is finally realizing it and it is a polite way of saying "get a windows based PC!" lol just sayin

  • @roksys69 Yeah that's why Apple's sales are increasing every year.. I guess you never used a Mac?

  • @Timmie44 no ive used a mac many times, just a personal taste that i dont like the OS they use, and the goofy one button mouse. it was joke anyway

  • @roksys69 Well I can't change your personal taste ;)

  • @Timmie44 You cannot be so bias on your facts though. Windows sales (percentage wise) are almost 9 times higher than mac sales yearly. Fanboys can have their glory too I guess, just be caution on how you do so.

  • @guitarguy2637 Windows market share is decreasing, Apple's increasing. Isn't that enough said?

  • @Timmie44 Windows is nearing 10 times higher in their overall share; Windows 7 continues to blow away (share wise) OS X ever since release... According the the charts, it was a huge turn around for Windows, putting Microsoft ahead of OS X (and continuing to do so). Your statement would have been accurate prior to July, 09.

  • @guitarguy2637 Go to apple(dot)com(slash)pr/library/2011/01/18results.html

  • @Timmie44 I could just as easily link a URL off Microsoft which states otherwise, but I'm not going to due to the fact that both parties are extremely bias of each other. Here's a good link for you to consider;

    netmarketshare(dot)com(slash)os-market-share(dot)aspx?qprid=9

  • @Timmie44 Also, that link does not work.

  • Is it compatible with a Mac?

  • @Timmie44 @Timmie44 - A correction to my video. The G35 is compatible with the MAC. However, there is no surround sound, just standard stereo.

  • @Timmie44 - A correction to my video. The G35 is compatible with the MAC. However, there is no surround sound, just standard stereo.

  • @webzcom Ok, but I understood it in the first comment. :)

  • it does not work with the PS3 because Sony chose not to send audio through USB, only voice chat...the G35 does work for voice chat but it will never work for game sounds with a PS3, no USB headset will.

  • @SuperColossal33 - Well put! Thanks for posting.

  • @SuperColossal33 Funny enough, the official Playstation wireless stereo headset is a USB headset...

  • @joaovictor1994 thats a voip headset, not a game sound headset.

usb is the only way to talk to other players on ps3

  • @SuperColossal33 Looks like you're not aware of what I'm talking about...

Google "New Official Wireless Stereo Headset Coming for PS3", and you'll see what I'm saying.

  • Is it compatible with mac?

  • @vCOYLESYv - A correction to my video. The G35 is compatible with the MAC. However, there is no surround sound, just standard stereo.

  • @webzcom is it compatible with ps3 ?

  • @xhawco - The G35 is not compatible.... the real reason is that the PS3 does not support audio out via USB. Hope this helps!

  • @vCOYLESYv WHO THE FUCK USES A MAC WTF IS WRONG WITH PPL ?

  • @vCOYLESYv No

  • how much is this headset

  • mine has a ear broken, bad quality

  • Ewwww logitech. Razer Megalodon is where its at.

  • for off and on when its on is the button next to the picture ?

  • is it good for gaming?

  • @proprix - I mainly watch movies with them but I did play a few games and I thought they were pretty good. The base is good and not overdone. The scroll volume on the side is really convenient. The are a little heavy so you might not like them if you game for hours on end.

  • Does it work with a AMD proccesor ??

  • @bigrr66 - I was only able to test on an older AMD XP2100 and XP2800 bot Athlon processors and neither worked. I did not a have a new processor to test it on. Has anyone else out there had a chance to test it on a new AMD processor?

  • @webzcom i have a AMD athlon phenom II x4 955 black edtion i think i'm gonna do some research thx for quick reply :)

  • @webzcom do u know if the logitech g930 headset works with the ps3?

  • Can you see the mic in your peripheral vision when it is folded up?

  • @cwsonline - Nope, I don't notice it at all. The mic also has a little flex in it, you can bend it to make small adjustments.

  • thank you for telling me if it is ps3 compatable... saved me $130 lol

  • @football2080 - I'm glad the video helped... I was very disappointed that it did not work with the PS3 and thought others would want to know before shelling out $130.

  • Well since this is USB, is it worth it 4 me 2 buy a really good sound card? Or should I keep my integrated one? Thanks.

  • Dude... theres a diff model of those for the xbox360/ps3 its called Logitech - G930 Wireless Gaming Headset. The logitech G35 is for PC

  • @EagleProductions789 G930 is PC only F540 is for XBox360 and PS3.

  • I got windows 7 but i cant install the software, anyone knows why?

  • @mellewillems You can find the software at the website. Thats what i did.

  • Hey, i saw the conversation betwen you and kassad101. You said that it works on the old model of PS3, in that case.. how do u make the sound go to them?

  • @xkapper - I can't say that I've seen anyone connect the G35 directly to the older version of the PS3. What I've seen was was one guy who used a cheap USB sound card to get the audio out via USB and then out to a standard headset with a 3.5mm jack. I don't think anyone has ever successfully gotten the sound out directly a G35 from the PS3.

  • @webzcom Ok. But I just got this and with the headset i had before, i could only get the ingame voicechat from Battlefield BC2. Perhaps thats what the guy ment (spelled)

  • lol some say it works on PS3, some say it doesn't & finding out which answer is right is a sodding impossibility! Logitech don't even say on the product information what systems they support, it's so infuriating >_<

  • @EmmyIiciouS - Yes, it is frustrating. Here is where the real problem the new PS3 consoles don't support sound out via USB. I think where the confusion is is that the original PS3s did but later versions did not. Mine is the newer version and did not work. I don't know anyone that has the older version for me to test it. Hope this helps.

  • @webzcom Ah, k, thanks :)

Stupid console, i don't understand it. PS3 launches with 4 USB slots, ability to play PS2 games, linux compatability, & a shit ton amount of other features.

Seems all that's happened is theyve removed all of those features & just increased the size of the hardrive, didn't even know they had changed the sound output for the worse but doesn't suprise me! Thanks info :)

  • @webzcom I heard the g35 has a flimsy plastic pole at the swivel point that connects the the headband to the headphones and that break from a small fall onto the ground............Did you have this sorta of problem???what do you think?

  • @Kassad101 - I can't see the swivel as the connection from the headband to the headphone is very tight. This is what I can say about the G35... There is not a lot of play in the swivel on the headphones but the G35 feels heavy (solid) and well built. I've never dropped mine more than a toss of 6 inches to the floor so I can't say what damage a real gamer might do to them in the heat of battle. Hope this helps.

  • @webzcom Have you had ANY issues with this headeset regarding windows 7 64 bit? i heard people been having issues such as having to unplug and replug them after a game in cod because the sound turns off etc,What version drivers are using?Did you install the cd drivers then download the latest Software Version: 1.01.178 Drivers??

  • @Kassad101 - I have to say I don't game on my Windows 7 64 bit PC that often. I've not had any issues plugging in and unplugging the G35 with just Windows 7 itselft. To me it sounds like a bug in COD. I think I've only installed the original drivers that came with the G35, 1.0.22.0.

  • @Kassad101 It is a bug in CoD :)

  • if you want a logitech headphones for the ps3/xbox than get the F540. it's also wireless

  • @TehN00bProduction yes it works with windows xp, vista and windows 7. Im a g35 user as well... ^^

  • @jonnaSKATE - I just doubled checked and could not find anyone using them without some sort of workaround. One guy says to and I quote...

Hook up your component cables to the TV. Then, instead of hooking up your right and left channel cables to your TV, hook them up to a 3.5mm converter. Then, hook it up to the input on your PC. It will now route the XBOX sound to your computer and out through the G35 headset. The 7.1 in the G35's will be fully functioning.

  • Comment removed

  • @TehN00bProduction - No sound card required as far as I know... The G35 plugs in via USB and you will have to install drivers.

  • @TehN00bProduction - It is supposed to. I've heard of some people reporting problems but that it is Vista for you. That is the best answer I can give you on that, good luck.

  • Apropos PS3 compatibility:

for me it sounds like you have just forgotten to change the sound output setting to the g35?

  • @Angorrr - Nope tried that too... It is not compatible with the PS3 beacause the PS3 does not support USB sound out.

  • i did play mw2 on computer with this headset. people thought i had a wallhack so really recomand on computer. but the sound on ps3 doesn't work but you can use it as a mic

  • Ops: the left clock cracks off alil to easy.

  • works on my ps3 slim.....

  • @FunAndJokes does it really work because i want to buy it!!

  • @FunAndJokes - I've seen some videos of people getting the G35 to work on the older versions of the PS3 but not the new ones.

  • will it fit on my "small" head?

  • I plan on buying this, but does it fit well with glasses? :/... I had to give my bro my old pair because they squeezed my glasses

  • @QwertySkill - I where glasses and they feel just fine. I don't play games for 8 hours at a time but I do watch a full length movie from time to time and they fell just fine.

  • @webzcom

thanks for the quick response ^^, ima buy them now because of that. Thanks :D

  • i have the problem that my g35 headset mic dosen't work any advice?

  • Will the surround sound work on BootCamp usin windows 7? i tested it in windows 7 but i have an imac and i can use boot camp to install a partion on my mac hard drive for windows.

  • @waackomann sent it to logitech.. they will replace it.. with a working version.

Also do you by any chance use the G9x? or G9.

The headset makes sound if both G9 and G35 is connected at once.

  • the wire on it is hella annoying, if it tangles its like impossible to untangle lol

  • Is this wireless?

  • @Burhangnom No, if you want the exact same headset as G35 but wireless, go for G930

  • i got a new computer now, and love to play FPS games, like call of duty and Counter-strike and stuff like that, its just amaazziing.. i have been playing counter-strike in maybe 7years now and i think this is the best gaming headsett i have use. i realy like this. 5* from me :) later

  • no true no problems on xp pro servicepack3

  • How is the sound on movies, music and such? Do you still notice 7.1?

  • hey man nice vid! I got mine today! And i have a little problem... My sound isn't working! Im using a laptop and when i start like a song the song runs through the laptops speakers and no sound is heard from the headset. :( Any tips to make it working?

  • @MultiAnimeGeek Goto to your Soundsettings and set the soundcard of the headset to your default playback device. You always have to change between this two soundcards, when you sometimes want play sound on the laptop speakers.

  • will this work on a laptop for blu ray movies?

  • @Sol0070 - As I state in the video long as your CPU is at least and Intel P4 or newer it should work. I tested it with older AMP XP2100 & XP2800 CPUs and it did not work.

  • @webzcom I have an ONBOARD 8 CHANNEL (7.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO

(Motherboard:ASUS® M4A87TD/USB3: DUAL DDR3,SATA 6.0GB/s, USB 3.0) Will the surround sound stil work in games(i.e hearing footsteps) or do i need to buy a Dolbby 7.1 surround sound card??what about for listening to music is it good?

  • @Kassad101 - This is a USB Headset. You won't be using your sound card at all. You will need to install the G35 drivers to get the virtual surround sound. Hope this helps.

  • OMG no kidding! I was playing Far cry 2 with this headphones and something blew up on the game besides me and I thought that it was really besides me! no kidding! i jump off my chair and looked to my right as if it really happen in my room! is good quality! down side: the ear cushions are not as soft as other headset so you mught experience bit of discomfort! hahah !!! i got this on best buy for 89 bucks! haha

  • They DO work on the PS3. I've played with them on MAG and they usually work. I've had times where some chat comes thru the speaks instead or sometimes the mic won't turn on when I speak but they usually work. I wouldn't recommend them because they have too much noise-canceling so you can't hear the game and, as I've said, they don't always work.

You also forgot to talk about that annoying ring in the right earphone. This is a -serious- issue. Otherwise they are awesome.

  • @Rm0ran the sound on the right ear cup has be resolved as of february onwards batch i believe

  • does sorround sound work with counterstrike??

  • are they worth 90bucks?

  • How much does that headset cost? I'm dying to get one. Its badass.

  • @NeilThe83

    150 Swiss Frank

    Around 200 Dollar i think

  • Will I get the ''7.1'' surround sound without a 7.1 surround card ? I dont know what I have : ( Its a asus laptop

And I know it isn't REAL 7.1 but...

  • @TheZembas the g35 has a 100% dolby digital 7.1 surround sound...

razer megaladon has fake virtual 7.1

  • @dufydf hahah , No headset gives tru 5.1 surround or 7.1 :D Heaha
