People need to chill out. This video does not provide a complete understanding of how this coyote is cared for. We do not know how much time he spend in this enclosure. It look healthy and I don't think the coyote would be yelping if he was distressed. Howling/yelping are behaviors that Canis species tend to do when they are being social.

And, for the record, legalities aside, I'm glad you posted this video because now my 4 year old can actually match an animal to the howling that scares him so much. And we were able to talk about safety with wild animals and he can see the difference between a coyote and a dog now. So thank you for that!
Actually, I don't know about where you're from, but where I live it's illegal to own a coyote or any 'wild' animal. However, I must say that this one does look very well taken care of, with the exception of the fact that it doesn't have trees to rub on to groom itself. I have a lot of wild coyotes in my area, and they are much slimmer than this one.

It's easy prey, and most likely they are starving, which is the reason they attacked your dogs. What would you do in their position? With your young starving and unable to hunt for themselves? You're hungry and want to feed your young; you see chickens and some smaller dogs, the only thing in the way is a fence. What would you do?

And, for the record, legalities aside, I'm glad you posted this video because now my 4 year old can actually match an animal to the howling that scares him so much. And we were able to talk about safety with wild animals and he can see the difference between a coyote and a dog now. So thank you for that!

Actually, I don't know about where you're from, but where I live it's illegal to own a coyote or any 'wild' animal. However, I must say that this one does look very well taken care of, with the exception of the fact that it doesn't have trees to rub on to groom itself. I have a lot of wild coyotes in my area, and they are much slimmer than this one.

Although the "you're torturing it" crowd here are low on the IQ scale, it does appear that the pen is not really fit to keep a dog in, it's questionable whether one is allowed by local laws to keep an exotic pet like a coyote, and the pen appears to be questionably small.

It is malnourished, it does not belong in a cage, you do not have your exotic handlers license, it is against the law to capture and or kill any creature that is under the protection of US Goverment Sanction laws, Animal Laws, as well as Indian laws. For example if you are not Indian you may not possess Eagle Feathers, Hawk Feathers, Claws, Fangs or Hooves belonging to any creature that Indians hold sacred. I suggest highly you remove this video.
