lulz, i got this trophy at the bridge place, when i was shooting barrels and throwing nades at random... i use a small t.v. on low volume so i had no idea i was supposed to use the giagantor turret until i died shitloads and thanks to that i managed to get it by luck., go me!!!

A few pointers:

You CANNOT unlock this trophy, and a few others if you haven't got the last *2* updates. Sign in and get them, and then sign out if you HAVE to, otherwise, stay logged in.

To make the guy run forward, go close to the first guy, but not close enough the other guy can run forwards and melee. He'll run straight and then blow it RIGHT at that moment.

I did it on another map, where u just start by the water and then walk away from the water. Then you see some friends shooting at a turret and many enemies. I walked to the enemy direction, i saw 3 helghast-soldiers covered. And near them was a barrel. I achieved it then

I got the barrel of death by accident, near the end of the level there is a machine gun near a red barrel. I shot it as there was a guy in front of the gun, a guy on the gun, and a guy running by.

Good method, but its a hair too iffy. I've tried a dozen times, now, and the guy on the right always stays put.

I suppose its the best method, though, since throughout the campaign there's rarely that many guys near barrels o' death.

Make sure you are signed in to the PSN while doing it. Killzone 2 gives no trophies if you're offline, for some stupid reason.

It wouldn't unlock trophies for me while being offline, nor did it for most of my friends. Perhaps it differs per version, model, etc, so it's safe to say that you should be signed in to avoid most complications. :X

... but trophies dont require PSN.

once they are installed on your PS3 you jsut unlock them with your offline account.

it only becomes part of PSN once you Sync Up. which copies them onto ur online account.

my cuz has a ps3 with no PSN account at all, but he can still get trophies with any game that doesnt require a patch for em.

but sure to be safe, be signed in.. though im pretty sure that wasnt the problem.

I am fully aware of how the PS3 handles trophies. However, this doesn't mean it's glitch-free, so to avoid any possible complication, I still suggest you stay signed in. No sense in running risk when you don't need to.
