My screen is working now but I'm having trouble snapping the bottom half back into place. The end of it snaps back into place but the upper half where the screws go is lifting up. There is a gap in the side seams.

My phone acts like it is always open. Even if i close it, the external and internal displays act like it is open. Is there any sensor that says that it is closed?

Hey friend, I didn't try your fix yet because I don't have a screwdriver (I think). Still, my phone is a RAZR V3r, and the problem is a bit different. See, the screen is totally black, and it's like switched off. When I press the button to switch it on, the keypad lights up for a second but nothing else happens. It's not just the screen. This thing happened overnight, so I sure as hell didn't drop it or anything. Note that my phone is NOT new, it's third hand, so no warranty. Thanks!

Okay well did you tried to install mods or anything else ? if yes then maybe sofware is corrupted. if not then buy or build your srew driver and check every connections. In this video i show you how to check the base and in the linked video the screen parts!

Well, I'm thinking that the battery is dead. Like, not-chargeable dead. I opened it up using a normal screwdriver (xD) but to no avail. It's really no use, though. It's not the screen that's the problem, it's the battery. I'll buy a new one soon. Thanks for your help though! You're a good guy.

Edit, the phone works, at first i put it back together and started it up, it still didnt work, then, like an hour later, i say, fuck it. and i squeeze the shit out of it. I found out that the connectors werent together yet. and squeezing them put them together.

well i took it to the provider and luckily the phone is still under warrenty but the sad thing is that its got to be shipped off to motorola to be fixed which will take me a month to get it back. all motorolas have the infamous display failure

NOTE: YOU NEED a T-5 screw driver! I bought mine at Sears (hardware section) for 2.99! DON'T TRY A STEAK KNIFE OR SOMETHING ELSE!

If you do, it will mess up the tiny screw and you WON'T be able to take it out at all! I used a steak knife and it caused more trouble, but I was able to eventually take it out. SO ONLY USE A T-5 SCREWDRIVER FOR THIS PHONE!!

Now, you should see, 4 different white little small ittybitty plastic little thumbtack kind of things on EACH CORNER bordering the LCD screen. They are VERY tiny and UNDER those white little things (just push them out gently) are the screws you need to unscrew. So go ahead and do that. NOTE: Unscrew all screws on top plate of the LCD screen ONLY! No others!

Once you do that...put the screwdriver in and lift it up where the motorola M logo side is. DO THIS GENTLY!

LIKE BEFORE, put a piece of paper there BUT THIS TIME "ON TOP" of the flap (to act as a cushion). Then put face plate back on with the side buttons (volume, speakerphone) secured and put screws back in.

You're done!

IDK what happened to mine i was putting themes on it with skiman and i think i deleted all my themes on acsadent so now when i turn on my phone it's just a whit screen and it just blink's white..... Do u no how to fix this problem.

Okay simply download the utility from motorola to flash your phone ( be carefull to select the correct operator )! after installing the software do not connect the phone. Turn it off. Be sure it is fully charged! Now press # + * + Power button at the same time and hold until it power on. You are now on boot loader mode. open the utility and plug your phone and update the phone! it will be restored with the latest software and will be working again! Respect and follow everything!

Oh yeah because your phone cant boot properly i hope you made a backup of your contacts and pictures because flashing your phone (the only solution to make it work again ) will remove all your data!!!!

I have a similar problem but it also turns off from time to time, freezes too, and the front display screen freezes on the time. you could open it and record a video to show me how it's made inside!

but first check for dust and rust inside the phone and on the connectors!

Hi my razr does turn on but it doesn't charge. When i plugged the cable it shows charging then the screen turn blue and again shows charging, then turns blue again at the end my cell phone never charge and the screen its blue for both sides. if yes then check if the cable isn't damaged, correctly plugged on both ends, check for any rust on the connectors!

if nothing work then try to buy a new cable.

if after it still doesn't work , try to get a new screen ( 20 box ) or get a new phone!

well on this video i took a plate screw driver and a lime so i could create my own screw driver! so u just need a plate screw driver but be carful some of these screw are hard to remove and with that king of screw driver y can damage screws!
