Other bands that are prog rock: Pink Floyd, Tool, Radiohead, Mars Volta, Muse(on Origin of symmetry), Rush, Jimi Hendrix in the 1968 album.

The ideea of prog rock is to blend genres and to not care about the rules.

I don't understand why these Muse and Radiohead comparisons constantly are popping up. Right now Muse is a different style of music than Radiohead. Just like Radiohead had a different style from The Bends to O.K. to Kid A. Maybe Muse will become more experimental throgh time, but isn't it possible to just like both bands without comparing the two in an inane manner?

Both Muse and Radiohead are great bands. Muse borowed from Radiohead in their first album but created a totaly new sound. They are not a fraction wannabes!
