I would like to give thoughts & prayers to the family. As well as say Thank You to the court. For understanding the pain the family was going though and respecting that fact. If he ends up killing him, he would get charged with first degree murder, since it was premeditated before he walked into the court. They just saved his life. He was charged with 50 years no parole.

But you are correct in a sense that they chose how this person is to be punished. Most times if it was accidental as in Manslaughter the families consider compensation in return.

I think officers treated him with as much respect as possible. They didn't taser him, they let him get it out, and really protected him from doing something that he would regret. I would have done the samething as that guy did if it were my sister or wife.

But you are correct in a sense that they chose how this person is to be punished. Most times if it was accidental as in Manslaughter the families consider compensation in return.
