Ray doesn't take into account that increasing government control of the economy, high taxes, regulations, and free markets, will cripple innovation. In the past, the great inventions were by free people. Therefore, the only way for future hope is to defeat the socialist and collectivist mindset. Progress must have free markets.
A TRUE visionary not only forecasts the future, but forecasts it *accurately*...his track record of past predictions proves that point quite plainly. That's what makes Ray a very unique and genuine visionary.
@siciliano29, I've always agreed with this as well. I'm trying to write a comic book that is totally sci-fi, but I want it to depict some accurate future technologies, 25-30 years down the road. And it is literally beyond the capacity of most people to think of the future in that way. You have to train yourself to think of growth like he is talking about, and to paraphrase Einstein "Imagination is more important than intelligence" which I think is fairly accurate in the context he says it.

@hoboboxerjoe : Einstein didn't say that. He said: 'Intelligence is imagination'.
