This film is absolutely fantastic. It has a good plot, good characterisation and brilliant CGI. I honestly think that there is nothing more you can ask for in this movie. Highly recommended.
That todays disaster movies dont take themselves that seriously anymore. Which is imho a good thing because deep Impact (the last big serious disaster movie) was somewhat boring and hat way too much pathos.

Lot of unused footage in this trailer maybe they will release a directors cut I believe this film also needs to be remade at some point the CGI we have now is streaks ahead of then.

My continuation of my first comment. They build caves and have a sign-up in Washington DC. Whoever signs up first, they will survive. The boy signs up but the girl doesn't. The boy marries her and they get into the caves. The meteorite hits earth and everyone outsde the caves dies. The 3 book is about life inside the caves. Does this sound like plagerism? Allright, y'all. I have solved the problem. I'm writing a 3 book series, (not called Deep Impact). Two kids meet and hate each other. They go soon hook up, and at the end of the book they go to the school dance together. In the second book, the president says that a METEORITE is going towards earth and is unstoppable. A meteorite is a piece of rock that has hit the earth and survived. A meteor is the streak of light visible when a meteoroid enters Earth's atmosphere. A meteoroid is usually no bigger than a boulder. You need an asteroid or a comet. It might not be actionable plagiarism but it's close enough to make it unoriginal to publishers. They'll immediately compare it to Deep Impact and reject it for its similarities. It's just too close to the film's plot. Sorry(!)

@takematt There obviously either next to or on the cape Canaveral base in Florida, so most people in the bar probably knew to just leave them alone. Or the multi million dollar movie makers fucked up, like royally and should all be fired then end up on your doorstep ranting about how you ended there carers with lots, and lots of guns in their hands.... whichever one you like of course.
