@NDguy191 Not really. I said you guys played a high school caliber team. The U will rise to relevance and take the college football world by storm once again. It will forever be all about the U.
@DoesNotExist305 LOL well this and last season would say otherwise. I would really like to see this rivalry to start again so the Irish can smack the canes more often.
@NDguy191 Ha that's funny. The U has won 5 national championships in the last 2 decades. Notre Dame has won 1. Not to mention that during that period the U dominated the Irish. More super stars come out of the U than Notre Dame. Sucks to be you doesn't it?
@DoesNotExist305 Irish have won 3 of the last 4 games played between the two. I wouldn't be so cocky if I was in your shoes. At least you can hang your hat on having the lead over ND in # of NCAA sanctions.
@DoesNotExist305 good job trying to get away from the fact that your boys got absolutely pasted in a game where they were favored to win. We live in the present, so let's talk about the present and how our schools are headed in completely opposite directions. And we're on the rise, so you can guess where you guys are going...
@mboomer93 We're on the rise too. We got a solid recruiting class coming in this year. Both are respectable programs and have a lot of history and tradition. I look forward to the game between both schools next season.
@DoesNotExist305 Seems like you kind of backed off your original criticism. To be honest I haven't paid much attention to the U, however I do remember them losing to the same Maryland team that we pasted last week. Just saying.
@mboomer93 We lost by 8 with 8 of our starters suspended. Jacory Harris, Sean Spence, Travis Benjamin, Marcus Forston, Ray Ray Armstrong and Olivier Vernon were all out for that game. Those players are the whole team lol. At least our backups got playing time.
Notre Dame dominated Miami. I wasn't sure if Miami would even get a first down that entire game. Jacory Harris had more completions to Notre Dame players than Miami players after the first half.
Glad to see a gator fan like something about ND!! Just bc your a fan of another team doesnt mean you cant support other players... I cant wait for Mani Teo!!!! #5 best LB
NOTRE DAME doesnt play D-2 teams like texas, miami, and all the others. Those who say notre dame has an easy schedule are just ignorant. Oh yeah by the way See you in 2012 CONVICTS!!!

@triplej225 how can you say notre dame have a weak scedual? They play michigan and michigan st,usc every year.and we even play one of the top school in the acc conference that miami plays boston college,I say the only other school that has a harder scedual is the sec teams, but if notre dame was in the acc they would donomae that every year

@64adventure wtf are u saying? Miami is not some garbage school with a good football program. UMiami is a very tough school to get into. And you can't say shit about the seniors not going pro considering ND is garbage at producing NFL talent. How many ND alums are actual stars in the NFL right now? Miami produces way more NFL talent. Typical ND fans..... always thinking they're better than everyone else and having their heads up their asses.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Notre Dame will not go to a BCS national championship team if they stay as an independent. They don't even play that many good teams on their schedule each year. I'm pretty sure a 9 or 10 win team from the SEC or Big 12 would get more credibility than if ND went 11-1 as an independent. I doubt Notre Dame could beat the best of the SEC.
Great game. 'Canes will be good in 2012 in year two of the Golden Era. That should be a pretty epic game in Chicago. As for now, just nice to savor a Hurricane beat down at the hands of the Irish.
This game was over when the Canes showed up in their winter gear while the Irish were in their short sleeves. Hey guys... a lot of NFL games get played in conditions a lot harsher than this was... better start your cold weather conditioning.
What a turnaround, I think Kelly will build the program up instead of having 1 good year then slowly fall apart as willingham and weis did, Rees showed hes a winner and looking at the schedule, their is no reason this team can't win 9-10 games and slowly crawl back into national prominence, the glory days are starting to return we are ND
It is always great to watch THE IRISH beat-up on these junior college teams. Talk about an orange crushing. Not to worry for the Miami football Seniors - most of which are not going pro - they will soon have their diplomas from "the U" which just may get them into that entry level janitorial job at Burger King or KFC.
@64adventure Miami is one of the toughest schools to get into in the nation. Not to mention the fact that it's academically one of the nation's best, dumbass. Don't come in here spitting your ignorant, uneducated thoughts.
Lynch decommited from FSU and is visiting South Bend this Saturday. Expect an announcement he is enrolling at Notre Dame Monday the 18th. Floyd is also coming back. BCS 2011 season confirmed.
@tuscaniman25 This is the best defensive haul we've had in a recruiting cycle since the late 80's/early 90's. Lynch, Tuitt, Rabassa, Williams, Councell, etc. are going to be studs and I wouldnt be suprised if all 3 of the 5 star guys are used as pass rushing specialists like Shembo was this year. Kelly will always find creative ways to put points on the board, but his defense has the potential to be dominant in the near future. That is a recipe for a championship my friend.
Good work on the video, the song is growing on me. However, you are very correct that ND is back asnd they are heading in the right direction. Look for lucky number 3 to be Kelly's year. Go Irish!!!
brasteen1 your right, kelly stockpiled our postion in need (secondary) by signing J. Atkinson, Farley, Hardy, Brown, and the other kid from Texas Okutcha (sp). Those guys will have a year to learn from Blanton and Gray, and then provide a 2 deep for 4 years. Its a bummer about Lynch, but if Tuitt if as good as advertised, will be a difference maker at defensive end. I just hope he stays commited and Michael Floyd returns.
Notre Dame left a lot of pts on the field. ND should have had that botched fumble on that punt. Also, Michael Floyd dropped two TDs. And, When ND was on the one yard line the previous play showed he scored. Plus, ND missed a field goal. That game should have been 44 to 17.
LOL...@the Miami fan that STILL thinks Miami is the better team....wtf game were you watching bro?? The one that I was watching was over at halftime. Better teams dont get blown off the field.....what a joke....
Regardless of who the starting qb may be, it wouldnt suprise me at all if kelly designed a special offensive package for Golson altough I would rather him save his eligibility and have 2 or 3 years as a starter. We have so many weapons returning with Wood, Jones, Riddick, Toma, and Bennett Jackson. Add incoming recruits such as Atkinson and Davaris Daniels, and this offense could be really explosive.
Michael Floyd was man amongst boys against one of the best secondaries in the country. I hope this wasnt his last game, but if thats the case he went out with a bang breaking the Notre Dame record for career TD receptions. I cant say enough about Tommy Rees who has earned his shot as a starter next season. With so many starters and young contributors returning, this was huge momentum boost for the 2011 season. Our 1st 3 games wont be easy though (South Florida, Michigan, and Michigan State)
@TheKSTEW3 you should not have to worry about south florida mostly Michigan and Michigan state and what ever tough teams you got in your schedule for next season
I think floyd and rudolph are gone but....thats ok obviously id love to have them but we did alright without rudolph and i think someone else will just have to step up. Next year will be our last year playing in a non-bcs bowl
8-5 will be ND's worst record under Brian Kelly. He is a great coach, and once his system and players get into place, great things are going to happen. I say 9-4 or better next season.
Can't wait for next year!!! Really believing that both Floyd and Rudolph return. Combine that with a healthy Dane Crist, Theo Riddick, Manti Te'o and Bobby D'Iacco's defense.... Not pretending are we? Notre Dame is BACK!
@ormondhabfan I'm afraid Crist may be old news. Kelly will make the right decision. Everett Golson is coming in, and he is the ideal spread quarterback.
Great Vid! Lets not get too carry away with Rees. Yes Rees has done a good job at managing games but he also had a defense that has stepped up BIG time. Crist on the other hand was just learning the system with everyone else in the beginning of the season without a average defense to help him out. I still say that Crist is still in the picture to start next year.
@83turk He's taking his mission following his senior season. He said before this season he will not take his mission until he finishes his career at ND
adding to my comment before, if floyd and rudolph stay, were bcs talk. i mean look at the playmakers: michael floyd (if stays), kyle rudolph (if stays), manti te'o, darius fleming, harrison smith (if stays), cierre wood, tommy rees, and theo riddick. i mean i would be scared if i was going up against that group
@TheInterceptor21 i think rudolph is gone for sure just based that he's still rated the #1 TE if he comes out. thats not the case with Floyd. with aj green, julio jones, blackmon from okla st, and the WR from okla all leaving....floyd could drop to round2. staying might be an option for him.
@MrBillyBatts1 take kiper's rankings for what they are i guess....but that dude still has him listed as #1 and recently said he would still be first TE taken in draft.
@TheInterceptor21 Yes. I dont care if he doesnt have the size, arm strength or 40 time a scout would drool over. the kid is a WINNER, he just has that IT factor and he'll do nothing but get better in the off season
WOW! Notre Lame Won a bowl game ?!? Never thought Id see that in my lifetime. Don't worry, you guys will still get owned by the Trojans, AGAIN.

@BretttDrewshow Look at golsons vids, he's fast and can throw it just as well.

Great Vid! Lets not get too carry away with Rees. Yes Rees has done a good job at managing games but he also had a defense that has stepped up BIG time. Crist on the other hand was just learning the system with everyone else in the beginning of the season without a average defense to help him out. I still say that Crist is still in the picture to start next year.

doesnt manit teo have to leave for his mission deal after this year?
83turk 1 year ago
@83turk He has been able to postpone it indefinitely I thought
MrIrishfan1171 1 year ago
@83turk He's taking his mission following his senior season. He said before this season he will not take his mission until he finishes his career at ND

adding to my comment before, if floyd and rudolph stay, were bcs talk. i mean look at the playmakers: michael floyd (if stays), kyle rudolph (if stays), manti te'o, darius fleming, harrison smith (if stays), cierre wood, tommy rees, and theo riddick. i mean i would be scared if i was going up against that group
TheInterceptor21 1 year ago
@TheInterceptor21 i think rudolph is gone for sure just based that he's still rated the #1 TE if he comes out. thats not the case with Floyd. with aj green, julio jones, blackmon from okla st, and the WR from okla all leaving....floyd could drop to round2. staying might be an option for him.
KBTV10 1 year ago
@KBTV10 even if rudolph leaves we still have eifert dont forget (not as good as rudolph but still decent)
TheInterceptor21 1 year ago
@KBTV10 coming off an injury id be surprised if he left early, his stock wont be high because of that alone
MrBillyBatts1 1 year ago
@MrBillyBatts1 yep i think he'll come back next year this year brian's recruiting defense
brasteen1 1 year ago
@MrBillyBatts1 take kiper's rankings for what they are i guess....but that dude still has him listed as #1 and recently said he would still be first TE taken in draft.

i say start rees over crist next season. he lead the irish over utah and is 4-0 as a starter
TheInterceptor21 1 year ago
@TheInterceptor21 Yes. I dont care if he doesnt have the size, arm strength or 40 time a scout would drool over. the kid is a WINNER, he just has that IT factor and he'll do nothing but get better in the off season
