My name is Sarah, I am the daughter & granddaugher of Denise & Richard. I would like to let you know that unfortunately mum died in June 2007 aged 44 & granddad died Jan 2010 aged 67. They both suffered badly with the effects of CADASIL and although this was not the cause of their deaths it was the main contributing factor. I would like to thank Jack, Profesor Kalaria and everyone who is working to help with CADASIL.
His greatest gift has been L-Arginine. This is truly a life saver. I was taking the medically prescribed dosage of 2 but now im upto 4 pills a day and will see how this works. Over 5,000 mg of L-arginine. It's been 2 days and not one headache nor anything for that matter. I shall continue with the 4 pills and of course my medicinal marijuana. I feel truly wonderful now.
Two of my sisters have been diagnosed with CADASIL and although he was never diagnosed with it in all likely hood the genetic mutation was passed to them through our father who had a stroke at age 46 and died at age 62. His mother also died after multiple strokes in her sixities. I have tested negative for the gene, but I have six siblings that have not been tested. I thank Jack Shields on behalf of my family for his efforts.
I feel so bad for Richard. I am doing research on this disease. I would love to become a physican to study and find cures for these neurological disorders. :(
I am now 39 years old and have had 4 Strokes now having Cadasil, Marijuana has allowed me to continue my life mildly affected by the strokes. Marijuana is a medicine and it has been proven Non Cancerous and is also Non Toxic. Just make sure you Lose weight and excersise and of course eat your vegetables. 4 Strokes and i feel wonderful.
One thing I have learned is that the L-Arginine works very well. I take it everyday 2ice a day. The one thing I must say and I mean no offense but cannabus is wonderful because it protects the brain from having more attacks on the smal veins in the brain which make people lose there minds. I am actualloy remembering more now that I inhale medical marijuana.
Praise to Satan, Lord of Light. Although not real, Your rebellion has saved us from the violent and mythical jehovah, mass murdered and killer of the babies who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah.
I doubt that this rare disease CADASIL causes 40% of fatal strokes.
I am saddened by this and all who have this. I have just been diagnosed with this Cadasil. I have bad headaches everyday. This sucks for me and everyone who is diagnosed with it.
You should get checked although it is a very expensive test. I have a daughter and I am scared she may have it but I will not be able to tell until she is around 33 or so. She is only 10 now.
My wife was diagnosed with CADASIL and this information is very much appreciated. The number of neurologists we have been to is numerous and none of them have mentioned this. I will look into it further, thanks again.

i have cadasil we have good board on facebook. the site with the most mnebers meet us there. i dont wisht o smoke weed but its cool that it helps.

Oh no you do not have to smoke it. You can cook with it. I cook with it and also use a Vaporizer.
