FYI, the angry slogans were directed to REPUBLICAN state legislators who broke their pledges of no new taxes and tried to cover it up until one of them confessed on NPR that all the Republicans were in on the tax increase but put up only the minimum 3 votes needed to pass it. ALL the "heads on a stick" in the Shoe Toss were Republicans. The only suggested action was to recall them and/or vote them out of office.

The "media didn't have a problem covering a protest against building a football stadium. The "crowd" for that one was about half a dozen. Or, the protest of about three dozen against school cutbacks (mostly due to falling enrollment in a Mexican-dominated district).
