Truthfully, you're both being pretty ignorant, referring to "the DOW" as if it were an acronym or something. "Dow" is short for the "Dow Jones Industrial Average," or DJIA.

The stock market is based on appearances and is affected by many different factors. It would be ridiculous to say that the President/VP make little difference in the Dow, but just as ridiculous to cite them as the primary factor.

Anyway, I will actually give you a serious answer. I voted for Obama over Hillary in the primaries because Hillary voted too much to support every policy of Bush/Cheney. Because of all her Senate votes, Hillary did not deserve the nomination. I don't think Obama is a saviour, but he has surprised me in a good way for the past week.

As far as the BIG PICTURE goes, I think that the Rockefeller family & the Morgans, and the World Bank, Oil Companies, the Fed Reserve, and military contractors, along with the boards of the biggest corps run the entire world, not just the U.S.
