@raheempicott I always thought I was the only one who heard that! OMG! At the very end of the song you faintly hear it... you mostly hear her voice vibrato at on the "all"!
@GoeatMacnCheese and I wonder why it was taken out... but again at the end of the studio cd version you can FAINTLY hear it... mostly the vibrato in her voice in "all"
Everytime was recorded in 2002 unlike most people think. Britney began working on In The Zone in November 2002 and had written this song in late 2001. The copyright filing on April 26, 2003 states that a studio sound cassette of "Everytime I Try" was recorded in 2002 and was presented in early 2003 for copyright by Britney Jean Spears and Annette Sigsworth. I first remember hearing a preview of it on MTV in late May/early June 2003 and In The Zone was still 6 months away.
@DKFanMail Are you sure about that? She wrote with a dancer, Annette Artani, from her Dream Within A Dream Tour. I'm So Curious was first song she ever wrote as it was recorded in 1997/early 1998 for BOMT. Dear Diary was written in late 1999 and recorded in January 2000.
oow im sorry I forgot about Im so curious, but the bottom line is that she said on her ABC concert from The In The Zone DVD that this was the first song she had ever written...
@DKFanMail Britney probably said that because it was her first single she'd written. The label made it their choice not to release those previous efforts by her.
@DKFanMail Don't forget that she also co-wrote the majority of the 'Britney' album too, as well as B-sides and the songs she never recorded but sang live on tour ('Mystic Man' and 'Weakness'). I remember her saying that too, and was a little confused myself. Perhaps because she wrote the piano riff to it, she meant that it was the first piece of music she'd written (to be committed to her record). Or the first for 'In The Zone' that she'd written. She did say she wrote this and TOMY first..
yeah, but this was probably like when she first started writing songs back down in the oops i did it again era, and then she wasnt happy with the lyrics or something, so she started to expand it for the ITZ album...
Its the first song she fully written and released. But she has co-written many, many songs. Almost every song on "In The Zone" is co-written by Britney.
I actually read an interview with the musician who wrote Dear Diary, and he said that he technically wrote the song and that Britney just came up with the storyline for it, but he liked it so much he felt she deserved a co-writing credit, even after she insisted he take full credit for his own work. :)
@AgusLobato I'm a lawyer, plus former NSA and CIA agents. I also worked for many recording studios since I was 16, so for that reason I've had access to a lot of info and many copyright records for music.
@kasey85 Actually, she wrote this song AFTER finish her DWADWT, in Germany, when she was on vacation with Annette, Felicia, and her stylist... So, I think she wrote it around '02 summer season.
this was taken from a performance she was singing semi-live they put the song singing with her but it was kind of live i love this version of everytime is so beutifull.

why didn't they keep the "After All" part? That would've made it hella perfect.

@shothroughtheart the creator of this video just put the song through a filter and added that bit from the SNL performance.

@kasey85 then why did the co-writer of the song say that her and britney wrote the song after her DWAD tour finish? in 2002.
