  • After I get the choke figured out, I will try to set the timing based on the specs that you used on this motor, thanks for the informative info on this video.

  • My car hasn't ran right since it had a Mustang II front suspension installed. The car only starts if I spray it with carb cleaner. The electric choke is always open. The car has a high idle also. After watching this video, I checked the positive wire of my electric choke, and sure enough, my ignition and my electric choke have to separate wires that werecrimped together. I will separate the two wires and start the car and adjust the electric choke based on the direction from Holley.

  • This video was very helpful, I've had drivability issues with my car after a shop did some work on it. I have a 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente 2dr hdtp with an aftermarket 302. It has stock internals that were balanced and put together ARP fasteners. I used Edelbrocks complete Performer RPM top end package. My ignition is a rebuit Accel points distributor with the Pertronix Ignitor II module and an MSD coil.

  • I was told that because my engine came with a "mild" cam that I have to time my engine a bit more advanced than factory specs is this true?

  • You should plug that vacuum line when you dis-connect it from the vacuum advance canister.

  • @TheForddog Just wondering why? I assume because of the vac leak the numbers could be inaccurate?
