  • retarded statement.

i hope you get kidnapped and hold in some flat without windows to know how it is... who cares if this is NOt allowed. -.-

  • This ringie thingie is the coolest thing EVER!!! lol

  • i feel bad for these wild animals.

  • @AlanTrebek Why? These animals are obviously happy and well cared for. If they were in the wild, there is a high chance of them being captured and skinned alive for their coats. Or eaten by a predator. They will have a longer, happier and relatively stress free life here.

  • if you smacked a kitten made of candy with a sack of cute, you get fennec foxes.

  • dont belive wikipedia ;)

  • Why? Don't beilive that you can keep them as pets? THERE IS LOTS OF evidence you actually can keep them as pets. Search on the internet.

  • dude your stupid a fennec fox is only a kind of fox that can e kept as a pet go to wikipedia and see about it

  • Red foxes can be kept as pets, though they're harder to care for. Spiritwhitefox has two of them.

  • I have fennec foxes for 5 years.. they are best kinds dog type.. they are too smart..

  • omg i want one too bad theyre illegal in this province...maybe ill sneak one in mwhahah

  • Anyone know WHY they are illegal in some places? Fennecs are far from endangered.

  • Because they are considered wild animals, illegal in some states. =\

  • they are now legal to own in 42 states as of 2009 mind you =) you still need a permit to breed however.

  • DumbDuck44, they are illegal in some states because.. well one reason I know of is because if they are released into the local area they can survive and threaten native wildlife. Much like snakes in florida and the now illegal ferret (along with other animals) in California.

  • what province are you in and how did you find out whether or not it was legal there? I'm interested in buying one and I live in manitoba, is there any info you can give me?

  • i meant city

  • ok, well, is there any info you can give me about finding out or where its legal?

  • Wow. I know that they are legal in NB, Canada,

  • They're so cute! Like little cat/dog hybrids o.O

  • How can they be?

  • is it best 2 get 2?

  • they look like Eevees a bit X3 your fenecc fox videos give me so much joy :D

  • Research your local laws, and apply for a permit if applicable. Research diet and care of Fennecs, as well.

  • endargerably cute

    i want one!

jsut gotta cough up 5k and i can get one

  • 5k for a fox?

  • thats wat i heard

  • Actually, they're more around the price range of 1500

  • !!!! omgsh so cute!

  • how cute it was looking out the window adorable i want one

  • Does that thing ever tear holes in that sheet? Lol, they look cool, but they also look like a handful, lol.

  • omg i want one!

  • They look like hyper-stressed-active dogs lol

  • compulsive diggers! funny seeing instinctive behaviors like that, my chihuahua tries barrying his cookies like a fennec, sweeping his nose across the blanket.. even tho it doesnt actually barry anything. i love the pleased squeeking sounds they make wen u scratch their little heads

  • fennec foxes are so cool!

  • they're so adorable and odd. what do they sound like?? they play like cats.

  • ZoMg SoOoOo KaWaIi~ ^_~

  • IMPORTANT: Please let them have babies beacuse they are overhunted for no particular reason! Unfortunatley hunting has a great impact on an animal that gives birth to only a small number of young. As a result the Fennec has has disappeared or has become very rare in much of its former range.

Info from: AMAZING ANIMALS OF THE WORLD Evening Grosbeak - Ghost Crab

    volume 10.

  • actually fennecs are labeled as least concern in terms of endangerment, but trade in fennecs is regulated. they tend to live in sandy areas away from humans. though some north african countries do prize their soft pelts. if you ever choose to buy a fennec pet do plenty of research and contact a well known breeder. ones from breeders are hand reared and far better then wild caught foxes as pets.

  • @MixPearlVoice its an iucn least concern species. letting them reproduce will mean they will be put down at shelters.

  • Yes they make good pets :)

They're friendly to people and animals, they have a natural curiosity and large amounts of energy. They can be litter trained but its hard to do. Either way they're ADORABLE, and completely legal.

    <3 I want one.

  • they look anxious

  • Hm... I wonder, do you take them for a walk in the park or to a ranch? As in: to let them have fun outside the house.

  • Haha...*zooom!*

They -are- diggers by nature though and probably rather frustrated at not being able to get outside and root around...

  • omg where did you get them? there so cute!!! lol

  • i am a fox dog person u know :3

  • They have an immense amount of energy to burn, and are also diggers (as you can see from the vid...) They are also difficult to house-train. They are domesticated, but they are not easy pets. You need to do a bit of research before even considering keeping them.

  • I love the little digdigdig behavior lol

  • It's like having a part dog, part cat, part anime pet.

    Sign me up.

  • Such pesonality!

I'm glad you have two so they can play together!

  • 0:25 fennec went splat on corner.

    so cute!! i want one!!!

  • Hehehe, I missed that part at 0:25 ^_^

  • Wow, they are fast.

  • aww! They are so cute :3

  • AFAIK, you need a license. .-.

  • Hey look over there!! *points and as you are distracted, steals your Fenecs*

  • what beautiful animals......

  • How in God's name could this be fake?

  • How in God's name did you reply to a comment obviously meant to waste your time?

  • where did you get your fennecs?

  • they a so nice i love them i want them >xD

  • OMG They are so cute!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TALK TO ME

    comment me back pX

  • I know what you mean. I taught myself English off of Cartoon Network. Started at age 6 , could speak broken english well by the age of 12. By age 14 I had grammar AND sland down almost a hundred percent. I was just in canada for 2 months recently and had no problem getting understood.

People are just too f*cking stupid , or they don't care...or both. Either kind should be shot dead imo Xd..

  • It's teh Chibi show.

  • I concur.

  • Is it legal in the UK to keep these as pets? i've been thinking of getting one

  • Question.. their claws are typically fairly sharp, yes? They appear to attempt to dig a lot -- an expected holdover from their wild instincts -- but without a sandbox or something to play in, this could prove to be destructive on wood floors, sofa covers, beds, etc.

Is there any form of active maintenance you practice in keeping their claws dulled and/or trimmed, in order to prevent burrowing into your sheets? :)

  • In Georgia it's legal..

  • English please...

  • omg i love these guys

  • they are so fast!!

they just kept moving moving moving..

  • that might actually be scratching to clean or polish the claws, because you see the same behavior with wild animals pawing/digging at rocks.

  • It's just a natural habit for an animal that can dig 20 ft in a single night. They are actually quite happy living in a domestic environment as long as they have a playmate.

  • They look happy to me, frisking and playing. Why don't you go back to PETA and kill some more animals in the name of compassion, eh?

  • Thank you Chibi. PETA SUX

  • I figured PETA would try to SAVE animals...they are an organization made specifically for that purpose after all.

  • yea ur right :3

  • Looks like they're having fun. :)

  • omg they're so cute... i would really like to own one of them... :) but unfortunately i already have a lot of cats :(

  • i want one where can i get one plz

  • they do seem pretty catty, dont they?

  • Lets just hope these guys are breeders =)

  • we keep all types of animal... and animals at one point were wild.. the only difference between fennec foxes and dogs or cats is that fennec foxes have not been kept captive bred for hundreds of years... thats it really

  • They don't look sad to me, and they can be perfectly content as pets. Do some research before making a cliche comment like this.

  • so it's not desired that people think on their own. you just want to read "oh so cute" and "ah so adorable"-comments, and anybody with a different THOUGHT (it wasn't more than a thought, it wasn't even an opinion) should shut up. yeah, great attitude.

  • yr an idoit dude first of all.....thats a fences fox.. not the fox that u hear in the story were he tricked that chicken and and ate it

  • oh, you know, you don't seem very smart or credible if you start your comments with offending others.

and the german translation of "fennec fox" is "wüstenfuchs" what means "desert fox" - so i think that's where they NORMALLY live before people came up with the idea to hold them as pets.

i'm not stupid enough to get the idea a fennec fox could be the same kind of fox like those who live in our woods. but nice that you came up with it.

  • serously stop flaming idoit its a fox that u can hold at ur housemmkay so stfu becouse i dont care if u know about it dumbass stop saying that animal abuse saying omg she needs to go out side..im so sad... go fuck ur self and stop saying im making shit up and some people hold snakes in there house as pets wat u say about that?

  • No one here is right... and both of you parts are correct. It's not okay to keep wild animals in an urban enviroment, it's not right to drag them out of their habitat.

However maybe those foxes where born in captivity, and they don't seem to be in distress and they look healthy. Most animals in captivity show signs of stress and other disorders.

Also, there's few people out there that takes care of them and worries about their welfare.

  • If you go to his channel they fennics are not wild animals they are tamed and they sell them at a pet store

  • all animals, at one point in time, were wild.

  • yes, they "were". but some still are, and they can't be happier in a flat than they would be in nature. i don't want to allude this to the fennecs in this video as i don't know much about them, but you can't say "don't hold cats and dogs as pets, they were wild once". i own two cats, and they both don't ever act like wild animals - they love to be in a warm place with enough food and the people they love.

  • and one day, fennec's may be the same.

  • Fennec Fox = love

The only feeling I have when I look at them ^.^

If you wanna have one, you must treat it with love and care :)

  • OMG they're so cute, do they bite? =D

  • It depends how much contact they have had with humans in the past. Mine bites me a little but they are just play bites..

  • omg too cute, I adore them. <3 :D!

  • Fennecs are the cutest ones ^.^ (just like me :3)

  • Fennec foxes are social animals and need lots of attention. With proper socialization and training they will be manageable, but remember that they are basically tame wild animals, not domesticated animals like dogs. They're very active, energetic and curious, and they are escape artists. Outdoor pens must be very secure- they are great climbers and diggers. They need plenty of space to run around or walked daily- preferably in an area with few dogs and people- they're skittish and could escape.

  • all animals were wild at one point so if you have ANY pets you are a hypocrite

there is nothing wrong with caring for exotic animals as long as you can care for them

  • They are so adorable!!

  • lol @ 00:26 plop

  • They're so cute. But luckly the window was closed. When one of them jumped, almost hit there. If the windows were open, it would've fall.

searching for the ringing thing! haha

  • I checked prolly about three years ago on the price of Fennec Fox kits and they were 1,000 dollars a piece. From what I've read they are o.k. pets but are still wild animals and require a lot of time and patience in their care.

  • they r so cute! i want one :] how did u get them though lol

  • I heard they could be litter box trained. I don't have one, that's just what I heard.

  • FENNEKS KIK ASS!!!!!!

  • They must be great pets.

  • i love how they try to dig in everything v_v haha

    natural burrowing fools!

  • Very true

  • They look bored and entertained by each other

  • thats it, i'm getting one. <33

  • What a super cute video :) Those guys must be such a blessing in y'alls lives :) It's nice that y'all have the ability to share your blessing with others :) We certainly appreciate it :) And I'd definately like to see more :)

  • copy that

  • 10-4 :P

  • Delta Sierra

  • ...such a sweet creature this fennec fox. I am not surprised people want to keep it as a pet.

  • aw they look so happy!

  • Um... people. You realize owning one of those isn't like owning a fricking cat or dog... Right?

For instance. Giving it live food for treats is rather something you should do.

Not an animal to just impulse get.

  • actually he's right... a fennec is REALLY hard work, they're not domesticated in the same way as cats or dogs, they have powerful instincts, are incredibly nimbly, quick, like digging and energentic, allot more energentic than any cat or dog... hard work **nods** not something to impulse buy, in most places you have to pass a test to make sure you're fit to keep one as a pet

  • i want one !! where can i get one im aloud!!

  • they're so hawt and cute.I want one 2.They're like a dog with super sharp cat reflixes.

  • hey where did you get your fennec. Im lookin for a partener for mine and i was just wondering what breeder you got yours from.

  • わぁぁ、かわいくて抱擁したくて好きなフェネックよね~

    (^ー^)robeytaさんがラキーんじゃじゃん~ヽ(´ー`)ノ

  • I want to get a Fennec Fox after college, but I don't know which states they're legal in... T-T

  • I still think they look like little cats crossed with Chihuahuas. ADORABLE!!

  • O.O don't say they look like chihuahua's! that's an awful thought! they're adorable in their own fennec foxy way.

  • Whoa, I thought this was a kitty-cat video at first. Little foxes, they're SO CUTE!!

  • Yes, IF it's wild and IF it's infected and IF you happen to get bitten.

It's common for people to think that ALL foxes and wild animals are "vicious rabid killers" which is of course, completely and UTTERLY wrong.

Though you shouldn't walk up to a wild animal thinking you're gonna pet it either.

So long as you think and avoid creating a close encounter with a wild animal, you have a much better chance of getting hit by lightening than getting rabies.

  • Well put.

  • Isnt it easy to get rabies by fox's?

  • r fennec foxes legal pets?

  • Depends on where you live. I live in Oregon, and have a fennec, but some states don't allow it. I had to get a permit to keep him, which was $150, on top of the $1000 I paid to get him, and over $200 of vet and transportation costs. They're really quite the investment, not an animal to buy on a whim.

  • oh ok

    thanks for the info ^^

  • they seem happy

  • Kawaii! I love them! Can I have one? :D *shot*

  • The ears, the EARS!! KAWAIIII!!! <3

  • when i get a fox ill let it sleep on my bed =)

  • Which you will regret in the morning when you wake up to the pleasant aroma of "Ten Thousand Skunks".

  • i no that they r nocturnal but how much of the time are they awake during the day is it hard to alter there time schedule

  • cute...just cute
