first of all, they were both grunting during the training.Not loud, but still ....

second: during a match, you are more tired, a lot of stress, you use more power ....

I have to agree, they go over the top, but I think grunting should be aloud at a normal level.

The Shriek is about to get banned....

they will get warned at Wimbledon and disqualified if they continue... so practice not squeeling after every shot ladies.....

It is understandable....bio mechanical testing shows that like in martial arts the scream does give more power to the shot, they cant explain why, just theorize, but much testing proves it time and time again that screaming adds power in sport.

It will make watching tennis much better when its policed out of the game tho..
