@shockracer besides the fact that 4wds are toggled on and off by the driver when awd is usually permanent or toggled on and off automatically by the computer they're basically the same thing.
@MrLiveWired wrong again, when in 4wd the transfercase locks the front drive shaft with the rear drive shaft, on AWD's they use a viscuse cupler that locks in and out or electronicly, an AWD can transfer all power to the front if needed, see if a 4wd can do that. go out and make as tight as a circle in an AWD the try that with a 4x4 in 4wd and see what happenes.

Wow, you were able to do that with the 50/50 split of the stock VC center diff? Granted, it was seriously beefed up w/ 4 spyder and torington bearings, but I thought it would be tough to pull off those slides unless you got a different center diff.

new teamrip gearbox whit 4 spider diff, torington bearing, stronger shiftrails and forks. very god gearbox!
act 2900 whit 6-puck sinter god for 700 nm.
rest of transmission is totaly stock! 4-bolt rear axle by the way.
tyres were some dunlops 225/45 17"

yes, stock center vc and 50/50. but a new one. it feels good! but the rear coud be better. it mostly spins at the inner wheel when i go in first gear.
just go in second gear and turn a bit to lose tracksion and pop the clutch and of you go!
