I served on the Big E on the 2007 6 month deployment. Most of the time being that ship was like a prison; tons of hardwork, wasted cleaning, neverending sweating, and limited patience. It was great to have a Captain that took the time to help loosen us up with some hilarious skits much like SNL or MAD TV.
Its bullshit that Capt. Honors is going through this. The US Navy only has 11 AC carriers. The captains of these war-machines are the best of the best. Let him do his job. Afterall, we have a war to win!!!!! I cant believe this shit!

It's called Esprit de Corps. Morale boosting for kids 18-22 years old that are working their asses off thousands of miles from home. If any of it went too far, the Admiral or Captain should have said so back then. To dredge this up now is going too far. Keep in mind that after he left he went to USS Mount Whitney and then came back to Enterprise. He is a superstar and the vast majority of the crew loves him.
Agree with Rusty2fan86 100%. This is harmless. Unless you have been uderway for months working 12 hrs a day and then going on watch, you don't understand. We had to invent fun and this is nothing more than that. Bravo Zulu to Capt Honors. Loosen up the sphincter Navy!
A great man.Very personable and easy to talk to rather than most USN Captains(that's an O-6 for other branches whose captains are merely O-3).Very clever in his taining methods and now some gutless turds have turned this harmless entertainment to our crew into a national debate.I would say that nearly EVERYONE looked forward to these weekly videos and were all excited to see him return to our ship as CO.In fact, the crew wanted him to continue where he left off with the videos.Growa sack America
