@singledad1234 I'm sorry but The pre-tribulation rapture is just more in lined with the word of God. There just simply cannot be a rapture surprise if you know it's coming at the mid-point, pre-wrath, or end of the tribulation. Matthew 24:44 states: "For this reason you be ready too; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will." In order for the rapture to be a surprise, it must take place before the tribulation starts.

Because if you could then everybody who is a Christian or Non Christian will be freaking out when they realized they missed it or try to get ready at the last minute. The scriptures used to "explain" Rapture theology can be read different ways and you're free to think as you like. To me they don't say that anyone will get a free ride during the end times, let alone those most valuable in a spiritual struggle. Does a good coach take his best QB out of the most crucial game so he won't get hurt? Some worry that you'll be bored but that's like someone in the 70s saying they'd be bored if there was no Pong video game when there'll be much better things to do.
There is no such thing as a pretrib rapture. Jesus will obviously return sometime around the first half of this century. Around 2030-2060 would be my guess for the return of Christ. The middle east will have to get more turbulent, and you should start seeing a dramatic increase in islamic radicalization in Europe. The united states will most likely lose it's power after an economic meltdown and a couple of severe terrorist attacks within the country. The world powers will shift in dominance.

This isn't accurate as there is nothing in scripture about a rapture. Prior to about 1830 it wasn't even taught. 2012 ends one Mayan cycle which has happened before, another one begins the following day so it's all hyperbole. The end is coming, it's inevitable, but scripture does tell us no one knows the time or date. Christians have been waiting for the end since a year after Christ died and if the Apostles didn't know then I doubt anyone now living is a better prognosticator.

Richard Perry seems to be confusing two different events.
The gathering of the church will occur prior to the tribulation and nowhere does it say that Christ will set foot on the earth for that event as..HE WONT!
He will come in the clouds and gather the church..for the ratpture event.
Tribulation starts/7 years.
Jesus comes back at the end of the tribulation and he WILL THEN set foot on the earth. TWO SEPERATE EVENTS!

The tribulation is meant for Isreal. It is also called "Jacob's trouble" God deals with the church (or the bride of Christ) separately than he does with Isreal, namely the Jews who rejected his son. As Believers are raptured before the tribulation, the marriage supper of the lamb takes place WITH the saints BEFORE the return of Christ, so he must come take them BEFORE the tribulation
Just to clarify for people watching - the Rapture will not occur Pre-Tribulation. This is in error. Instead, the Rapture will likely occur after the Sixth Seal is opened, right during the Great Tribulation.
Revelation 6: 12-16 and 7: 9-17 and Matthew 24: 29-31
The worst will come at the Seventh Seal, and the things after that. Richard Perry is correct.
Paul wrote his letter to the Corinthians before he wrote Revelation. The trumpets he explains IS NOT the trumpets of Revelation because his audience would have no idea what he is talking about. He is likely talking about the rapture fulfilling the OT feast of trumpets

The scriptures used to "explain" Rapture theology can be read different ways and you're free to think as you like. To me they don't say that anyone will get a free ride during the end times, let alone those most valuable in a spiritual struggle. Does a good coach take his best QB out of the most crucial game so he won't get hurt? Some worry that you'll be bored but that's like someone in the 70s saying they'd be bored if there was no Pong video game when there'll be much better things to do.

There is no such thing as a pretrib rapture. Jesus will obviously return sometime around the first half of this century. Around 2030-2060 would be my guess for the return of Christ. The middle east will have to get more turbulent, and you should start seeing a dramatic increase in islamic radicalization in Europe. The united states will most likely lose it's power after an economic meltdown and a couple of severe terrorist attacks within the country. The world powers will shift in dominance.

This isn't accurate as there is nothing in scripture about a rapture. Prior to about 1830 it wasn't even taught. 2012 ends one Mayan cycle which has happened before, another one begins the following day so it's all hyperbole. The end is coming, it's inevitable, but scripture does tell us no one knows the time or date. Christians have been waiting for the end since a year after Christ died and if the Apostles didn't know then I doubt anyone now living is a better prognosticator.

In this 1st of 5, I noticed there is no refutation or at least clarification of why these counterpoints do not work or are somewhat lacking, History Channel is great, but like most everything done in the worlds media, fairness and completeness aren't a priority. Likewise, if you die prior to this rapture, you will get the same, but only a split second before those raptured. Now if your just wanting to get to the front of the line, "The last shallo be 1st and the 1st shall be last" Me, I am near my end phsycally. Pain & suffereing I have experienced. Richard Perry seems to be confusing two different events.
The gathering of the church will occur prior to the tribulation and nowhere does it say that Christ will set foot on the earth for that event as..HE WONT!
He will come in the clouds and gather the church..for the ratpture event.
Tribulation starts/7 years.
Jesus comes back at the end of the tribulation and he WILL THEN set foot on the earth. TWO SEPERATE EVENTS!

There are jewish feast and the marriage between Christ and his bride etc. The history channel gives bogus information and does not touch the surface of this. The tribulation is meant for Isreal. It is also called "Jacob's trouble" God deals with the church (or the bride of Christ) separately than he does with Isreal, namely the Jews who rejected his son. As Believers are raptured before the tribulation, the marriage supper of the lamb takes place WITH the saints BEFORE the return of Christ, so he must come take them BEFORE the tribulation

Just to clarify for people watching - the Rapture will not occur Pre-Tribulation. This is in error. Instead, the Rapture will likely occur after the Sixth Seal is opened, right during the Great Tribulation.
Revelation 6: 12-16 and 7: 9-17 and Matthew 24: 29-31
The worst will come at the Seventh Seal, and the things after that. Richard Perry is correct.

Paul wrote his letter to the Corinthians before he wrote Revelation. The trumpets he explains IS NOT the trumpets of Revelation because his audience would have no idea what he is talking about. He is likely talking about the rapture fulfilling the OT feast of trumpets
