WOW. hard to believe that something like that would hurt him, after the 400 or so hits he has given and taken. looked innocent enough, i remember seeing it live action and thinking "that looked like retalliation from earlier... but, i am not holding anything against the blue jackets, this is the way ovechkin plays the game, so cant be too sad when it happens. scott stevens comes to mind... man banged for the better part of 2 decades, and a concussion took him out.

they say that he was hurt in the little brawl before he took that weird hit. Ovechkin got in a little fight and the Jackets jumped on him which created a little brawl. after he fell was when it really kicked in i guess.

he is listed now as week-week so he will prob miss the next 5 games at the most i would think @NJ,a back to back home and home with FLA, home NYI,hopme Minn. after that i think he should be fine thats a good week and a half span.
