  • Ampico GPM - This is such an addictive roll...I have the Duo-Art version - a re-cut. By 1933, Aeolian American would cut pop rolls in both formats. I imagine Frank Milne had to learn to master the Ampico format after the merger. Some of those pop rolls are not easy to find - they didn't cut that many. Your piano is without peer! I have a Knabe Ampico A 5'8" grand and a Weber Duo-Art grand..both lovingly maintained by an excellent technician here in the Northeast (whom I met thru Amica).

  • SteinewayXR and aknabea, thanks for the compliments!

  • One of the best pianos that I have ever heard!!

  • super rolls and great sound!

    thanks for posting

  • aknabea, that's a great story for this roll!

  • Greetings...Karlfalcon, actually, in these last few videos, inc this one, the vinyl cover is off the bottom of the piano, as well as the spill valve cover...so it should be louder! I think the reason for the quietness, is the pump, due to the fact that it was rebuilt, and rebuilt correctly. . The little noise you do hear, is the motor in the drawer. I don't have the front cover for the draw yet, so all that mechanical noise is coming through the Flip Ultra HD cam.

  • Have to make another comment: I just love this piece of music. I see a Beagle Puppy chasing a butterfly or a leaf, then near the end, it slows down as the puppy gets tired and lays down to take a nap!! Thanks for this beautiful piece of music!!

  • Love it!!

  • I have to ask, when you make your HQ recordings, do you filter out the noise from the player? The motor et al sound incredibly quiet if not.
